This study explored occupational therapy practices for mental health awareness in post-stroke clients. Through qualitative interviews with occupational therapists using a survey, the research identified key themes, including prevalent mental health issues, cognitive impairments, financial and time constraints, occupational performance strategies, and cognitive rehabilitation approaches. The findings highlight the complex challenges faced by stroke survivors and the multifaceted role of occupational therapy in addressing both the physical and psychosocial aspects of recovery. The study emphasizes the need for a holistic approach in stroke rehabilitation, emphasizing mental health support and the integration of meaningful activities to enhance recovery and quality of life, and suggests directions for future research and practice improvements in post-stroke rehabilitation.
