Meise Botanic Garden is excited to welcome you to the IX International Rubiaceae and Gentianales Conference, which will be held on 7–10 September 2026 in Meise, Belgium.
The conference is an excellent opportunity for international researchers with a common interest in systematics of Rubiaceae and Gentianales to meet and interact. The program will consist of 3 days of presentations, followed by a one-day excursion.

The Rubiaceae-Gentianales website provides a list of the people working on Rubiaceae/Gentianales systematics and an overview of all previous conferences.
The website also features an overview of the literature about the Rubiaceae family, mainly focussing on systematics. There are almost 3800 references, most of them with a link to an online version of the work.

Meise Botanic Garden is a botanical garden located in the grounds of Bouchout Castle in Meise, just north of Brussels, Belgium. It history goes back more than 200 years. It is one of the world's largest botanical gardens, with an extensive collection of living plants, a herbarium, and a library.
The BR herbarium houses 4 million collection items, the oldest being a specimen from 1724. According to the Index Herbariorum, it is the 15th largest herbarium worldwide. The herbarium contains important collections from Central Africa and has a long tradition of research on the Rubiaceae family.
