I'm a member of the Gravitation and Cosmology Group at the Department of Physics at the University of Salamanca (Spain). In 2019, I was awarded a Juan de La Cierva Fellowship. Currently, I am hired as Profesor Permanente Laboral.
My research involves theoretical physics and astrophysics, especially binary systems, galaxies, galaxy clusters, cosmic microwave background, cosmology, and gravitation. I worked on questions involving dark matter and dark energy, clusters of galaxies, cosmic microwave background anisotropies, the variation of fundamental constants, gravitational waves and modified gravity.
I want to learn about fundamental physics by studying the structure and evolution of the Universe. My work is mainly divided into two steps: the first one involves a pencil and paper, while the second one numerics and plotting mainly in Python, IDL or Mathematica. Of course, there is also one more step: I write down, with my colleagues, the results of our research and send them to a scientific journal to be published (hopefully).
