The IUSD We Rise Above is a local community chapter of We Rise Above, a student-led nonprofit which aims to educate and prevent sexual violence. We aim to break the taboo surrounding sexual violence in our community and create a welcoming and uplifting environment in which everyone has a chance to be heard.

We Rise Above is an award-winning organization founded by Thrisha Senthilnathan in 2019. WRA implements sexual violence and prevention programs which educates students and the public about sexual violence and works with survivors to create an uplifting community for all!
