Next Steps

My journey as an honors student has played a major role in shaping my future goals. Through my honors coursework, projects, and required volunteer experiences, I was able to explore different areas of healthcare in a more meaningful and hands-on way. These opportunities ultimately led me to discover my passion for occupational therapy. Without the structure and expectations of the Honors College, I may not have pushed myself to get involved in experiences that helped me find this path. As I move forward, my next step is to continue my education at the Indiana University School of Occupational Therapy. I am excited to build on the foundation I have developed during my undergraduate years by gaining clinical skills, hands-on experience, and a deeper understanding of patient-centered care. I look forward to working with diverse populations and learning how to help individuals regain independence and improve their quality of life through meaningful occupations. 

Beyond OT school, I hope to combine my clinical training with my background in Health Services Management. While my primary goal is to become a compassionate and effective occupational therapist, I also want to grow into a leadership role within healthcare. By applying my knowledge of healthcare systems, management, and policy, I aim to become a well-rounded clinician who not only provides quality care to patients but also contributes to improving healthcare delivery at a broader level.
