At the end of the day, the choice between glossy and matte comes down to personal preference — pick the one you love most!

MOSAIC OR LARGE TILES?

What works best? 

TLDW: Skip the mosaics — large porcelain tiles outperform them in shower floors. Watch to learn more. 

WHAT ARE EXPANSION JOINTS?

They are gaps in the tiling to allow for natural expansion and movement of the floor underneath. 

They prevent cracking, tenting, and popping up of tiles over time. The gaps may be filled with silicon or a special metal or PVC strip.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
PORCELAIN & CERAMIC

They are made of different materials and undergo different manufacturing processes.
Porcelain is harder, stronger, more water resistant and scratch resistant.
Ceramic is more suited for walls due to it's weaker nature.

So just use porcelain!

✅ PORCELAIN – YES

💧 Absorption: <0.5%

🏆 Truly waterproof.

🛁 Perfect for: showers, pools, verandas.

❌ CERAMIC – NO

💧 Absorption: 3–7%

⚠️ Water-resistant, but NOT fully waterproof.

🏠 Fine for: dry indoor walls, backsplashes.

🚫 Avoid: shower floors or constant wetness.

💡 QUICK RULE:

Wet area or outdoors → PORCELAIN only

Dry wall / low moisture → Ceramic is fine
