How to reset Hotmail password for your Microsoft Outlook account. Microsoft Outlook is currently the official email provider for an email address ending in "@hotmail.com", thus you will use Outlook to reset any Hotmail, Live, and/or Outlook passwords.

1. Open Outlook. tap the Outlook app icon, that resembles a white box with a blue "O" thereon.

9. tap an account recovery choice. tap either Email or Text on this page.

10. Enter your email address or phone number. tap the text field below your chosen recovery choice and enter your full email address (Email) or the last four digits of your signaling (Text) to verify your identity.

11. tap Send code. It's in the lower-right corner of the page. Doing thus can send a recovery code to your email address or signaling.

12. Enter the recovery code and Enter a brand new password.

13. tap Next once prompted. this can take you back to the sign-in page wherever you'll sign in to your account using your new password.
