2022 theme : Combating Air Pollution

When will the competition be held?

• Register your team for the competition by December 23rd 2021 here.

• Submissions will be open beginning January 1st 2022 at this link.

• The last day to submit the action plans will be April 1st 2022.

• The IASC judge panel will be reviewing action plans from April 1st-20th and will announce the winners on April 22nd, 2022 also known as Earth Day!

What is turned into the competition?

• The action plan will be the work that will be turned into the competition.

  • 1. Here are examples of the format and how the plan should look like (rules, rubrics, etc.) We aren't picky in terms of format, but only context!

What does the action plan consist of?

• The action plan should consist of a plan to resolve or improve problems relating to this year's theme, air pollution, in the school. To keep it manageable, we encouraging focusing on not more than three themes at a time.

• The action plan should include: the necessary tasks, the people responsible, and time frame for actions your team plans to take in order to achieve the goals/targets of combating air pollution.

• Recommendations (students could make an action plan that involves something like a search) - We would encourage Ecosia, the tree-planting search engine, as the primary search engine for any technology. We would especially focus on using search engines like Ecosia in schools and workplaces;

How will the action plan be judged?

• The action plan will be judged within the different chapters. So there will be one winner in the 3 different chapters. The rubric is currently underway and will be posted soon.
