Do you accept JFS or County Pay and /or are you a licensed daycare provider?
At this time, unfortunately we do not. We are not a licensed daycare, and JFS/County Pay will only pay for Licensed daycares. We are private pay only. HOWEVER- we just became an LLC and tfter we completely set up the official business side of things, we will begin looking into seeing if becoming a Licensed Daycare Provider is the right move for us.
What hours are you open and what times are drop off and pick up?
Our hours are 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday
Drop Off Times are open before 11:45 am
If your child will be having breakfast with us, they need to be dropped off by 9:15 am
Drop Off and Pick Up are not allowed from 11:45 am to 3:30 pm as this is lunch and nap time
Message us if you are in need of extended hours past 6:00 pm and we will do our best to accomodate you!
We are hoping to hace weekends avialable soon too!
We are unable to offer overnight childcare at this time due to insurance coverage and cost.
What ages of children do you accept?
We accept children 6 weeks up to and including 4 year olds for full-time care.
We accept children 6 weeks up to 5 for part-time care
After School Care and or/ 2nd Shift Care:
We accept children 6 weeks up to 5 for part-time or full time care
We also now offer after school care for children in Preschool and Kindergarden. School aged children are able to ride the bus and get dropped off right at the end of our driveway!
Due to insurance liability, we are unable to provide transportation at this time.
Can we provide our own foods?
Unfortunately we no longer allow families to bring thier own foods for children eating regular table foods.
Families may provide thier own meals *IF*:
*Your child has a special diet for medical or religious purposes
Please note that any foods provided from home specifically for your child needs to be easy to assemble, does not create a lot of mess (no red sauce for example) create little waste (use reusable and washable zip lock bags), and not be something the other kids clearly are going to want (fruit roll up, jello, chips, junk food-ish type foods).
Children bringing thier own foods may need to sit in a separate area from the other children to eat thier meals due to sharing and food safety issues.
You MAY bring in foods to contribute and share with all the kids! Whether it be a container of strawberries , chips, cupcakes, apple sauce, etc., you are MORE THAN WELCOME! Please no super messy foods though, unless you’re planning on helping clean after lol!
Babes eating purée’s and grow-with-me foods will be providing thier own primary foods. Baby cereals (oatmeal, rice, multi-grain) are provided by us!
You may also bring teething snacks, but it is much easier with multiple babies to contribute a container/box to share so the babes get a verity and it’s much easier to feed the babes that way!
Are you peanut/treenut and food allergen free?
Unfortunately we are not as this childcare is based in my home. If your child is suspected to have any moderate to severe food allergies, especially including peanuts or tree nuts, we will not be able to provide care for your child.
Miss Julie, how do you handle milk and other drinks?
Bottle-fed babes:
We have a bottle making station with bottle warmers. We have a bottle sanitizer if you’d like us to use that, and we have a sink next to the bottle making station where we hand wash bottles daily, dishwasher on santize mode on the weekend.
Formula-fed babes:
Parents provide formula and bottles, we use double filtered well water , or you can bring nursery water. Most families bring a can of formula for us to dispense as we make each bottle. Some familes have pre-made bottles and put them in the fridge. Whatever is easiest for you and prevents you from having to pack a diaper bag every day!
Breastmilk fed babes:
Parents provide milk (fresh or frozen) and bottles. If you want to bring frozen bricks of breastmilk, we will use a specific container to keep your milk organized. We have a full size side by side fridge in the bottle making area where your milk will be placed. We can keep a stash of frozen, and when we do inventory on Fridays you'll know when we're low :)
Regular cow’s milk :
Whole milk and/or 2% milk is included in your rate! We buy Great Value (Walmart) brand milk., Sam's Club Member's Mark milk, and sometimes Kroger.
Non-Dairy and specialty milks:
Organic milk, soy, etc. is not included in your rate and you will need to provide it.
We also include:
100% juice (watered down if in a cup and not a juice box ).
On rare occasions we will give the bigger kiddos lemonade , or other special sugary drink treat, but we typically only put half the required sugar in non-juice drinks.
Refrigeration and restocking:
We have a full size side-by-side fridge across from the playroom in the bottle making station.
Formula, breastmilk, special milks, and special drinks/ water for your little love will be listed on our weekly inventory sheet, so you’ll know when we’re running low and need to bring more!
Mommas, you don’t need to fret about packing a diaper bag filled with what feels like a million different things when you choose to send your little love to us!
Your babe will get thier own cubby, and if they’re still in diapers, they’ll get a drawer at the diaper changing station too! We keep a stack of thier diapers, extra clothes, and if you choose to use your own wipes, diaper rash cream, or Tylenol, it’ll be stored in their drawer too!
We keep extra diapers, purées, baby foods and snacks, swimsuits, and blankie sand stuffies in their cubbies.
On Fridays, we do inventory for each child and post it in Procare so each momma can restock what we need over the weekend!
We do our best to make it as easy for you as possible! We get it,momma, motherhood is so hard, and we’ve got you!
We have an Attendance and Payment Policy.
These policies allow families a certain number of missed childcare days without needing to pay, or onlu pay half thier normal rate.
The number of No-Rate days is proportioned so each family has approximately 2 1/2 weeks per calendar year of thier normal number of care days per week without paying- that’s quite generous! It also includes approximately 2 weeks of half-rate days for missed days until the full rate payment for missed days is required.
With the pre-payment policy, any missed day rates will be credited toward the following week.
This policy allows families to hold their child’s spot in our childcare as well as ensures your spot is being properly utilized as we agree upon when accepting families.
We utilize the Procare App!
Daily activities including:
Diaper changes
Bottles (for babes under 1 year old and upon request)
Naps
Meals
Photos and videos
And so much more!
Payment is due in full on the Friday before the upcomming week of childcare.
This includes all scheduled days and hours of childcare. Unused childcare rates will be credited towards the following week.
Payment is done through our Procare app. Direct deposit through your bank account is free, however there is a fee for credit card payments.
You can split payment with another person, utilize your Dependant Spending Care Account, etc.
There are various fees assessed for different situations such as hours after the included 10 hour daily rate, late payment fees, late pick up fees, etc.
Families will be provided our full Attendance and Payment Policy once joining our Village
When we just have 1 care provider, our limit is 6 kids, but most times we have a secondary provider when we have 4-5 kids.
We try our best to use quality products- products I use or still use on my own little guy when he was little. A lot of items we use for our childcare are items that he used and grew out of.
Our goal is for mommas to be comfortable knowing their babe will have everything at their disposal to comfort their growing pains without having to pack up a diaper bag every day.
Don't like the items we use? Keep your preferred items in your babe's diaper changing drawer or cubby!
See the list of items provided under our Rates page.
Yes we do!
Our families get live video AND audio access to mulitple cameras located in areas we use for our childcare:
Main playroom has a 360 camera
Main playroom has a stationary camera in the Infant Calming Area
Napping area has a stationary camera
Backyard has a 360 camera
At this time, we are not. It seems to be a bit more difficult than I'd like to have our childcare licensed while my family is sharing space with the childcare.
However, if I can see my dream and plan through, the home we live in now and our childcare is located in will one day just be a childcare, which WILL be licensed.
Yes!
Our main childcare provider, Julie and her husband James went through extensive background checks, home visits, etc when we adopted our daughter in April 2022.
We perform background checks on our staff as well. Records can be viewed by serious potential families upon request after a tour is done.
Yes! We became an LLC ( It Takes A Village Childcare OH LLC) in Novmeber of 2024
Yes we are! We have a $3 million policy through NEXT insurance. Our Certificate of Liability Insurance is available upon request.
However, there are some things that are not covered under our insurance policy and will require waivers to be signed such as use of our trampoline, understanding we have animals in our house, etc.
