As we can persuade, there are many issues with the NYC subway that must need to be address in order for it to keep functioning and offering its service. After doing my research, I found that the most impacting issue that NYC has is the broken-down infrastructure. This is a very concerning issue because the well function of the train depends on its infrastructure. The reason why the trains are breaking is due to the old mechanical structure of the trains.
In addition, they were built many years ago and the parts are no longer available for purchase, which makes it hard for people to fix it. As a result, they end up refurnishing it, which is not a good idea because the parts are getting older and instead of replacing it, they are just fixing the same part. The really good maintenance is what makes the difference and function of the transportation but NYC subway is no getting the required maintenance, without the people even notice it, they are contributing to the slow destruction of the subway.
In my personal opinion, I would say that the best way to stop the major issues in the NYC subway is by building new trains instead of refurnish the same over and over again because they are too old to keep refurnishing every time it has a malfunction and/or breakage. In the other hand, I know it will cost billion of dollars to build more trains and fix the structure of the subway, but at this point I do not see any other option that will help to resolve the major issues with the NYC subway.
