ISSP International Workshop and Symposium
ISSP International Workshop and Symposium
A Focused Workshop on Quantum Transport and Mesoscopic Spin Physics
Kashiwanoha, from 13 to 31 July 2026
Scope & Objectives
The purpose of this workshop is to provide an intensive, discussion-oriented forum on fundamental aspects of quantum transport and microscopic spin physics, bringing together domestic young researchers and carefully selected international experts. Building on the structural precedent of the NPSMP2015 workshop, this meeting emphasizes deep scientific engagement, with the aim of fostering concrete collaborative research initiatives.
The workshop will focus on two primary thematic areas:
1. Mesoscopic Physics & Quantum Transport
This theme centers on anyonic phenomena, topological quantum transport, and correlated effects in mesoscopic systems. Particular emphasis will be placed on microscopic theoretical frameworks and their relevance to emerging quantum materials and engineered quantum systems.
2. Spin Physics from a Microscopic Perspective
This theme highlights microscopic theoretical approaches to spin dynamics, spin-orbit coupled systems, and quantum spin transport. Emphasis will be placed on interaction effects, coherence, and the fundamental mechanisms underlying spin-charge conversion and spin-dependent transport phenomena. The workshop aims to strengthen theoretical foundations while promoting meaningful dialogue with experimental developments.
Workshop Format
The workshop will consist of invited lectures, short talks by young researchers, and extended discussion sessions designed to encourage in-depth scientific exchange. By inviting a limited number of internationally recognized leaders in each thematic area, the workshop seeks to ensure strong scientific coherence while creating a platform for long-term international collaborations.
