The ISPW 2026 Scientific Committee invites social pharmacy researchers, educators, and students to submit abstracts and workshops for the 23rd International Social Pharmacy Workshop. The conference will take place June 28th – July 2nd 2026 in Cork, Ireland. Abstracts in all areas of social pharmacy will be considered, including social pharmacy education.
We have planned for a number of workshops, oral and poster presentations. Abstract submission will open on Monday 1st December 2026. The deadline for abstract submission is Friday 27th February 2026. You will be notified by Monday 30th March 2026 about the status of your submission.
ISPW is a collaborative learning community that engages in shared educational experiences. At this meeting, you may present your work using three types of sessions.
Oral Presentations are 10-minute presentations with 5-minute discussion and will run in parallel sessions throughout the conference. Please present using a slide show format.
Posters will be presented on a 1.2 m x 1.8 m (4 ft high x 6 ft wide) board during the poster session on Monday and remain up for public viewing. An optional poster printing service is available.
3. Workshops are interactive 90-minute sessions with diverse small-group activities to showcase, build, and integrate knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to pharmacy education and research. These are sessions designed to share topics that benefit from active engagement and audience discussion.
The scientific committee members will evaluate submissions using prior ISPW criteria, including significance, innovation, methods, generalizability, and ability to translate findings into practice.
An international panel of judges will review your submission.
You may receive feedback on your submission or be asked to resubmit. Works in progress will only be accepted as poster presentations.
All submissions must be in English and include a corresponding author.
Your abstract should not exceed 300 words, excluding authors, affiliations, and section headers. (i.e., background, objective, results, and conclusions).
We encourage workshops with multiple authors. You will be asked to submit the objective, number of participants, length, content, structure, and activities.
We hope you are excited to share your research and science as part of ISPW 2026. Please submit early, as space is limited.
If you would like examples of prior ISPW submissions, please take a look at prior conference abstracts from the 21st ISPW in 2022 and 20th ISPW in 2018.
Accepted abstracts will be published in Research in Social and Administrative Pharmacy (RSAP).
