At the Sensing, Imaging and Computational Intelligence Lab, we acquire and process images and multidimensional data to deep understand the world around us through dedicated algorithms. We develop new prototypes and complete intelligence for:

• Environmental Monitoring
• Quality control in industrial production lines
• Video-surveillance and activity monitoring

This lab is equipped with the latest systems, such as:

• A 3D reconstruction system for micro-structures (In-plane resolution: 0.3 mm; Out-of-plane resolution: 0.1 mm; Scan speed: 20 mm/s; Measurement accuracy: ±2%)
• 3 workstations with Intel Xeon CPU, 256 GB of RAM, high-capacity SSD storage, high-speed framegrabbers
• 3D prototyping station (Printing Area: 400 mm (diameter) x 670 mm (height); Layer Resolution: 100 um)
• RGB industrial cameras
• 3D cameras (ToF sensors, stereocameras, ...)

The Mobile Robotics Lab carries out research for:

• development of advanced perception systems for ambient awareness of robotic vehicles
• development of cooperative control methodologies of robot and sensor networks
• development of robotic-aided IoT systems and methods.

Application fields include: industrial automation, agricultural robotics, ambient intelligence.
