Q. What is the Incentive Offer for NIN Submission?
A. Incentive Offer for NIN Submission is an initiative aimed at encouraging customers who are yet to link up their National Identity Number (NIN) with their MTN number(s), to do so.
It rewards these Customers with airtime bonus.
Q. Who is eligible for the Customer Incentive for NIN Submission Offer?
A. All MTN customers who are yet to link up their National Identity Number (NIN) with their MTN number(s) are eligible to receive airtime bonus.

Q. How will I check the status of my National Identity Number (NIN) submission?
A. You will be able to check the status of your National Identity Number (NIN) submission via the following channels for FREE;
§ USSD: Dialling *785*3#
§ SMS: Sending NIN to 785
Q. I saw NIN airtime bonus on my phone but cannot access it?
A. Yes, you cannot access the airtime bonus until you link your National Identity Number (NIN) with your MTN Number.
Q. How do I submit link up my National Identity Number (NIN) with my MTN number?
A. Easy. You can submit your National Identity Number (NIN) via any of the following channels:

§ SMS: Type “NIN hyphen your 11digit to 785. Example: NIN

Once your NIN submission has been received, it will be validated to confirm it is valid then your NIN number will be linked to your MTN number after which you can access the NIN airtime bonus.
Q. Will I get any message once my National Identity Number (NIN) has been linked to my number?
A. Yes, you will be notified once your NIN has been linked to your also informing you that you can access the airtime bonus.
Q. How will I check my NIN Airtime Bonus?
A. Yes, you can check your airtime bonus at any time by dialling;

Q. What is the validity of the NIN Incentive Airtime Bonus?
A. The NIN Airtime Bonus will be valid for 7 days from the day you are notified that your NIN is successfully linked to your MTN Number.
NOTE: After the bonus has expired, any unused bonus will NOT rollover and will be cleared on the day of expiry.
Q. What activities can I perform with my NIN Incentive Airtime Bonus?
A. You will be able to perform the following activities with the airtime bonus;
§ National Calls @N24/min (40K/sec)
§ National SMS @N12
§ Data Browsing @N15/MB
NOTE: The bonus CANNOT be used for International calls & SMS, roaming services, Share N’ sell, purchase bundles, VAS etc.
Q. Which account will be charged first, the NIN Airtime Bonus or my Main Account?
A. Your national calls, SMS, data browsing will be deducted first from the NIN Airtime bonus account, after which subsequent charges will be deducted from other bonus/bundle/main account as applicable.
However, for YafunYafun and BetaTalk customers, first 1-minute call of the day will be deducted first from your main account, after which subsequent charges will occur from your NIN Airtime bonus/other airtime bonus/bundle/Main account as applicable.
