What is eSIM?
eSIM is an 'embedded' or 'electronic' SIM card which is built into a mobile phone, smartphone or tablet device at the point of manufacture.
It will empower customers with the freedom to move between mobile phone carriers much more easily and cannot be removed from the physical device.
Examples of eSIM enabled devices are iPhone 11 series, Samsung S20 series, Google Pixel 3&4 series etc.
How is it different from the Regular SIM?
The eSIM is different from a regular SIM in that it cannot be physically removed or disassociated from the device ( It is an embedded SIM)
Kindly note that SIM Replacement process for eSIM have not change and remains the same as that of regular SIM.
MyCustomer® NIN must be verified via BioSmart and successful before submitting Swap request for activation.
MyCustomer® should come along with their NIN or NIN Slip; NIN Slip can also serve as their ID.
