Founded in 1982 as an independent educational initiative, Petnica Science Center (PSC) has developed into a highly respected center for innovative scientific education and the development of young talent. As one of the first independent educational organizations in the region, it has played a key role in promoting scientific thinking, curiosity, and excellence among students and young researchers. Today, PSC is a unique and internationally recognized institution dedicated to advancing scientific culture, education, and literacy, with a strong focus on training students, early-career researchers, and educators.

   PSC is a modern scientific complex with approximately 7,500 m² of working and residential space, equipped with advanced laboratories, classrooms, and technical infrastructure. The center includes multiple teaching spaces with contemporary AV and IT equipment, an indoor amphitheater, and fully equipped laboratories for biology and biochemistry, enabling hands-on experimental work with professional scientific tools.

   Located about 7 km from Valjevo and 99 km from Belgrade, PSC is well connected by public transport. The center is situated in a natural environment of exceptional beauty in western Serbia, providing an inspiring setting for intensive scientific work.

  In addition to its scientific infrastructure, PSC offers comfortable accommodation and a large canteen with high-quality meals, ensuring a productive and enjoyable experience for all participants.
