1. Who can participate?
Undergraduate and master’s students in biology, medicine, veterinary medicine, pharmacy, and related fields are welcome to apply. PhD students may also apply, especially if the School’s topic closely aligns with their doctoral research and can contribute to their scientific and professional development. In such cases, applicants are encouraged to clearly state this in their motivation letter.
2. What costs are covered if I am selected?
Participation in the School is fully covered. This includes accommodation at the Petnica Science Center (PSC) in shared rooms (double or triple occupancy), as well as full board with three meals per day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) provided in the PSC canteen. In addition, organized transportation from Belgrade to Valjevo (Petnica) and back to Belgrade is provided for all participants.
3. Are travel costs covered for international participants?
Yes. A limited number of travel stipends (up to five) are available for international participants traveling from a distance of 400 km or more. These stipends are intended to partially cover travel expenses, such as airfare or bus tickets, with support of up to 400 USD per participant. Please note that all other costs related to participation in the School – accommodation, meals, local transportation, and course activities – are fully covered by the organizers.
4. Who can I contact for additional information?
For additional information, please contact the President of the Organizing Committee, Dr Marina Zaric Kontic, at e-mail marinazaric@vin.bg.ac.rs.
