Greetings / ご挨拶

Welcome to ISMRM JPC 2020

Dear colleagues and friends,

On behalf of the Japanese Chapter of ISMRM, it is our great pleasure and honor to invite you to participate in the 5th ISMRM-JPC Annual Scientific Meeting. ISMRM is an academic society that gathers the most advanced researchers related to MRI medicine. The Japanese chapter has been held four times since its establishment in 2016, and it has been held with the view of collaborative research. JPC meeting is held every year for the purpose of active discussions, exchange of young people, and improvement of adoption rate in ISMRM.

This year, it will be held at Kyoto University (Kyoto City) from December 11th to 12th (Friday and Saturday) and will be attended by researchers from various fields including neuroscience, physical engineering and informatics, as well as leading researchers and medical personnel related to MRI.

“The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle.” This is a part of a famous commencement speech at Stanford University by Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple. To encourage all participants to bear the future, the theme of this JPC meeting is quoted from this speech as "Keep looking, don't settle". Let’s have high aspirations and compromise attractive research themes that will greatly contribute to the development of the field.

We hope the 5th JPC meeting will be a place for active exchanges and discussions that will lead to pursue new technologies and findings from Japan. In addition, we hope you enjoy the inexhaustible charm of Kyoto - its rich natural beauty, culinary culture and arts.

We look forward to welcoming you to Kyoto.
