A Marsh-wiggle Lullaby

A Marsh-wiggle Lullaby

Sleep deep, little Wiggle,
(There’s no harm in trying.)
Sleep soundly and well.
(Though it’s damp and we’ll probably freeze.)
It’s too dark now to lark–
(And too dark to sleep, too, I shouldn’t wonder.)
Stop trying to wriggle
(You might knock down the wigwam.)
Right out of night’s spell.
(Never trust spells–remember poor Puddleglum!)
