Housing Committee Meeting

2/7/19

On Thursday, 2/7 the Housing Committee met again to discuss the question:

"How might we extend the housing conversation to the larger community?"

Through a small-group discussion process, several ideas came to the forefront:

  1. A potluck meeting in late May or early June to hold a community discussion on housing. The committee would present a summary of our work to date and the various ideas that are on the table. We would gather feedback and concerns for each of the ideas, as well as any new ideas that come up.
  2. A survey (mail-in, in-person, or online) to gather feedback on the various ideas
  3. A short (~5-question survey at town meeting) to gather necessary statistics on the current housing situation that could be used for funding applications and presentations.

The committee felt like these three actions would be sufficient to gather the input that we need to move forward.

Next Steps:

Our next meeting will be Wednesday, March 20th at 5:30PM in the town hall. We will discuss questions to include on the survey and to ask the community at the potluck. Please join us!
