Stage Crew

On Thursdays from 3-5 pm, dedicated students are invited to participate in stage crew, an after school club where students can learn about all technical aspects of the performing arts. All production aspects are entirely student made. Students have the chance to design, create and run all school productions. Students will learn about lighting design, sound design and scenic design. The club is run by Ms. Testa and Mr. Grippo, both hold Bachelors degrees in theatre and have pocketed years of professional experience working in all aspects of the performing arts. They are thrilled to pass on what they know to the students at 162.

Students who sign up are expected to attend every session. Stage crew is just that: a crew, a team, a family. Stage crew is an excellent opportunity for students to learn about leadership, teamwork, commitment and creativity.

Students are required to have a permission slip from a parent or guardian and turn it in to Ms. Testa in room 111. Students are expected to attend and aid in all performances. Calendar to be released in the fall.
