In this page, I would showcase some of the projects that I am a significant part of:
For this year's edition of the above module, I have decided to invite 3 teams to share their experiences and reflections working on their projects. Below are 2 videos that I have produced, for such a purpose, and for posterity.
My long overdue 2015 ePortfolio iBook is now available on the iBooks store. You can download it free from the link here:

I've also managed to complete my ePorfolio iBook for 2017 in time by early November. It's downloadable from here:

The department collaborated with ArKidecture and SAA Architects to host a facilitation session with the main objective of nurturing and seeding students' interest in the field of architecture. Attended by about 2 dozen Secondary 2 students, the programme started off with a sharing session about architecture as a career, and what it is all about. The architects then went around to these 10 teams, to facilitate their architecture design project ideas. It ended off with a summary of key points that were covered.
Although the session was short, the students enjoyed it thoroughly. Even though this is the first department's collaboration with an architectural firm, we hope that this won't be the last, and we plan to make it an even bigger one the next time we organise it.
1) SunburST InnoFest (23 May to 26 May 2017)
The SunburST Makers' InnoFest for the Secondary 2 (Grade 8) students aims to nurture students' interest in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Aesthetics and Mathematics (STEAM) content areas through a competition-centric event. Students are grouped into teams of 4 and 5, with each adopting the roles of either a team leader, designer, maker, coder or marketer. This would allow for a breadth and differentiated learning experiences for the students, whilst at the same time, mirroring the multi-disciplinarity of working teams. For each role, participants would be going through different learning journeys to external organizations and industries, and be trained deeper by experts, within their roles. They would then come back together, and pool their own learning as a team, to resolve the given challenge brief.
2) SunburST Make-A-Thon (30 May to 2 Jun 2017)
The SunburST Make-A-Thon 2017 for the Upper Primary School students (Grades 4 to 6) aims to seed and nurture students' interest in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Aesthetics and Mathematics (STEAM) content areas through a competition. Students from various primary schools are grouped into teams of 4 or 5, with each adopting the roles of either a team leader, designer, maker, coder or marketer, similar to the InnoFest above. The rest of the event would mirror the InnoFest, with some elements being adjusted to cater to a younger demographics of participants.
More details of the competition can be found HERE.
I'm finally done with my professional iBook this year, where I reflect and consolidate highlights of the work that I did in 2016. I decided to upload it on the iBooks Store this year, my 4th iBook one the store. You can download it here from the iBooks Store.
The 2015 edition is also available for download HERE.
Appreciate your comments, if you have any, by dropping ME a note.
The SunburST Makers' InnoFest is a programme that aims to seed and nurture STEAM-centric content areas, through a series of Maker and applied learning sessions. It is a programme jointly organised with Singapore Technologies Endowment Programme (STEP), and is primarily targeted at youths in upper primary and secondary schools. Through this series of programmes, it is further hoped that students would continue with their learning, both in, and out of the classrooms.
Below are some media collaterals of the pilot programmes that SST has conducted so far in June and November of 2016. In the latter sessions of November 2016, the Maker Lab conducted outreach efforts to upper primary school students from selected schools. A total of over 160 primary 5 students, from 7 schools, were involved in the programme over 5 days, which also involved a coding element.
Video of the pilot session of the SunburST Makers' InnoFest in June 2016. More than 30 SST students from Sec 1 and 2 participated in the programme. Students thoroughly enjoyed their experiences, working with sheet materials, forming them and then assembling the pieces together. Elements of basic electronics were also introduced and embedded into the programming.

Post-event snapshots of the entire event, done by me
I started the above FB page a few years ago, as an experiment of sorts, to showcase some of the works that I have done in my professional practice. It has been a long tumultuous journey, as the journey gets longer and tougher, and as the time that I have to upload and update gets almost shorter and non-existent. Nonetheless, I would like to keep the link here for posterity, and also as a reminder of what I've started, and to give me the impetus to continue to share my love for teaching and learning
