I'd like to dedicate this page for the exemplary works of my students, without whom, I wouldn't have gone this far in my professional practice
Once again, the general quality of the deliverables by the Secondary 2 students for their year-end Architecture Design project has been remarkable, with a great degree of creative flair being shown by all the teams. Given the tight schedule, and with competing programmes taking place, it is indeed heartening to see the students putting their heart and soul into the project, in order to see it to its successful fruition. Here are some pictures of their experiences, and of their final final deliverables, which includes a physical model.
SST was also honoured to be invited by URA to showcase the students' works during the Urban Planning Week at the URA City Gallery from 14 Mar to 28 Apr 2017. Below are some pictures of the exhibits, students' presentation during the official opening ceremony, and students' participation in a 3D modeling workshop organised during the event.

I have recently completed putting in all the necessary pieces for the above showcase, which now can be viewed at this link: http://2016architecturedesign.blogspot.sg/
This time round, I decided to try out something new, i.e. embedding a 3D model using SketchFab. I ran into some issues, mostly with the extremely high number of faces, edges and details for some models, but for those that are moderate in detail, I have embedded them in the blog, under the 'Digital Models' tab. The link to the page is here: http://2016architecturedesign.blogspot.sg/p/digital-models.html
In addition, SST, in collaboration with IMDA and NLB, has also been selected to exhibit some of the students' works for viewing by members of the public. Some pictures of the exhibits, and a video clip could be viewed from the 'Exhibition' tab in the same blow. The link to the page is here: http://2016architecturedesign.blogspot.sg/p/exhibition.html
For this year, my colleague and I planned to use the World EXPO 2016, that is going to be held in Antalya, Turkey, as the location of our project. Students in Secondary 2 (Grade 8) form teams of 2 to 3 members, to adopt a country of their choice, and produce a pavilion that best captures the essence of what their selected country is about.
The pictures below try to capture some snapshots of the students' project towards final completion and submission.
Students were given the theme 'Rice', and were tasked to produce a short film of between 5 to 8 minutes long, over a period of 14 weeks. They form groups of between 4 to 5, and worked collaboratively throughout the 3 stages of pre-production, production and post-production, to complete their films. Below are some selected ones. More can be viewed from the department's YouTube channel page.
