Creating Google Forms for Assessments
I-Ready integrates with Google Forms, which allows you to design quizzes, surveys, and other assessments. Start by creating a quiz in Google Forms (forms.google.com) and set it up as a graded quiz. In the quiz settings, select Make this a quiz, then enter answer keys for automatic grading.
Posting Google Forms as Assignments in I-Ready
Once your Google Form is ready, go to the Assignments section in I-Ready, click on Add Assignment, and select Google Form. You can attach the quiz to a specific lesson, group, or individual students. Once students complete the quiz, I-Ready will automatically grade multiple-choice and checkbox questions, saving you valuable time.
For more complex assessments or written responses, you can manually grade open-ended questions in Google Forms. You can also provide detailed feedback in the Comments section for each student. This feedback can be used to guide students in their future learning.
Analyzing Quiz Results
After students complete the quiz, I-Ready generates performance reports that highlight student results by question or section. You can use these reports to track which areas students struggled with the most, helping you adjust future lessons. You can also use the data to identify which students may need extra support.
