You must have the research organizers from Mr. Irby
Follow the directions below for creating a Bibcitation account, citing the novel and creating its parenthetical citation, and how to find an academically appropriate novel overview.
The following video will walk you through finding general information about censoring or banning books.
See the information on citing a database article in Bibcitation under Lesson 1.
I have selected internet sources for you. This allows you to skip the step of evaluating the site for its inclusion in an academic paper. However, if you'd like more information on evaluating sources, click the "CRAAP Test" button below.
Don't forget Bibcitation! Use the URL of the websites you are going to use and enter it by choosing the gold website button and pasting the URL into the box. Remember, I have a plethora of appropriate websites under the Resources tab above.
I hope all your citations have been saved in Bibcitation in the MLA 9 format!
Once all your citations have been entered, you need to click the purple Copy and Export button in the upper right corner and choose the kind of document you want (Google Doc or Microsoft Word). Click the "Copy all" button.
Open a blank page in your preferred platform and paste (Crtl V) the copied citations into the document.
For a Microsoft document: Insert>Page Number>Top of Page>Plain Number 3
For a Google doc: Insert>Page numbers>choose the upper-left-hand option
Your last name should go in front of the page number. Change the page number to reflect the last page of your paper.
Make sure when the citations are copied you double-check for these things:
Works Cited is centered at the top of the page
The entire document is double-spaced
The entire document (including the page number and your last name) is in Times New Roman font size 12. Refer to the rubric below.
All hyperlinks have been removed. These are the blue underlined addresses. For each one, hover over the address, right-click, and select "Remove Hyperlink."
Boom! Your works cited page is now complete. Share it with Mrs. Schlauch (tschlauch@helenaschools.org) for grading.
