She represents GO! at meetings with the government and in the Flemish Education council (VLOR). She has been director of a large VET school near Brussels in the past. Annick helps to implement GO!’s vision on the relation between education and the labour market. GO! knows that education is not an island and that it can only be successful if it brings young people into contact with the reality of the labour market at an early stage. That is why GO! wants to play a pioneering role in cooperating with industry. In this way, GO! wants to better prepare young people for real life.Interaction and cooperation between school and company are of great importance. Young people need to acquire the competences and attitudes that are necessary in a business environment. They can learn this through contact on the work floor and in real situations. Teachers should continuously monitor the evolutions of the labour market and the latest technological developments.
