"QBTV" is the Iowa Quiz Bowl League's involvement with televised quiz bowl across Iowa.

In 2016 (26 schools) and 2017 (29 schools), IQBL helped to run the a competition on KCAU-TV (Sioux City) sponsored by Morningside College.

In 2017, the program was expanded to Mediacom Channel 22 through Grand View University in Des Moines.  8 Central Iowa Schools Competed in the first event.

In 2018, 29 schools from across Iowa and Nebraska participated in two qualifying events leading to the taping of the show in Des Moines.

In 2019, 31 schools participated in the qualifying events, our first season with Buena Vista University as the sponsor.

2020 saw 13 schools able to compete through Buena Vista University, and fourteen at Grand View, but episodes at Grand View were unable to be taped due to school cancellations amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic.

In 2022 8 schools across two divisions competed at Grand View and taped shows that appeared on Mediacom 22. Dave Price of WHO-TV 13's "The Insiders" returned to host. 

In 2023, 11 schools across two divisions competed to get to the taping day at Grand View; Dave Price returned to host again.
