• Moderator discount: $10 per moderator, must be approved by the host district or team bringing the moderator. Moderators unknown to IQBL may be required to complete a volunteer background check.

All registered teams, players, coaches, and tournament officials are subject to the Iowa Quiz Bowl League Terms & Conditions.

Home school teams must provide documentation indicating they have been approved by their respective state's Department Of Education or equivalent within 48 hours after registering for an IQBL Tournament.

All teams must have at least one (1) school approved adult supervisor or parent/guardian at least 21 years of age who accompanies the team to IQBL events. 

IQBL events have a Zero Tolerance Policy on harassment/abusive behavior by any individual attending a tournament for any reason. Tournament Directors retain the discretion to impose sanctions on individuals or teams as necessary, and IQBL reserves the right to impose sanctions on future events depending upon the severity of the incident.

Effective 11/18/2024: Any school/individual who cancels a registration to an IQBL event after entries close will be required to pay the entry fees for the event, regardless of actual attendance.
