Auditions DO NOT guarantee a speaking role

Auditions are optional but encouraged. 

Grades 1-2 do not audition and will be given a chorus role. 

If you do not want to audition, please skip Steps 1-4

Audition Process:

• Step 1:  Practice the monologue located below.  Choose one character to perform. Make sure to add character, emotion, hand gestures. (memorization is not required but does look good to the judges ) You do not have to audition for a specific role. All roles will be considered for your audition.

• Step 2:  Practice the song below, "Big Blue World." You will only need to sing about 1:00 minute of the song. (See below at the bottom of the monologue sheet for specific details of the song.)  (Make sure to project!)

• Step 3: Sign up for an audition slot and come to your designated time with your paperwork. 

• The Sign-Up Genius website will be on your IPSF registration confirmation email.  Don't forget to do this step if you are auditioning!

• Auditions are on September 8th at College Park , September 9th at Greentree., and September 10th at Deerfield. You may choose which day to sign up regardless of school attended.

• Step 4: Check your email for call-backs after 6:00 pm.  Call Backs are on Wednesday, September 10th at Deerfield Music Room (Not all students will need a call-back) Please check your spam email. Sometimes our emails get lost in the spam folder.

• Step 5: Check back on this site after 5 pm on Friday, September 12th  to see what role your child has been casted. Then check the rehearsal schedule and make a note of your students days and times.
