IPEAD Marks Its 10th Anniversary

The Institute for Political Economy and Development (IPEAD), Republic of Korea, marks its 10th anniversary in 2026.

Founded in 2016, IPEAD has developed as an independent academic platform dedicated to political economy, development studies, institutional analysis, social theory, and critical research on contemporary capitalism. Over the past decade, the Institute has sought to contribute to long-term scholarly dialogue through working papers, academic publications, conference papers, policy analyses, public engagement, and research archiving.

As part of this 10th anniversary, IPEAD is undertaking a comprehensive renewal of its academic platform. This renewal aims to strengthen the Institute’s role as a stable, scalable, and academically robust space for research dissemination, intellectual collaboration, and archival preservation.

IPEAD expresses its sincere gratitude to all colleagues, researchers, readers, and supporters who have engaged with its work over the past ten years. Looking ahead, the Institute remains committed to advancing rigorous, critical, and socially relevant scholarship in political economy and development.
