Regular Paper:
The “classical” IPCAI submission. Once accepted for publication at IPCAI, the paper will be transferred to the International Journal of Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery (IJCARS) for further revisions and publication as full paper in the IJCARS IPCAI Special Issue or (if required) in a regular journal issue.
Submissions are in IJCARS format (Springer Nature's LateX Template), up to 12 pages (~5000 words) including abstract, tables, references, and figure captions.
Intention to submit includes the title and the abstract.
The abstract should be in a structured format (Purpose, Methods, Results, Conclusion) and should not exceed 250 words.
The review process is single blind: authors declare their names and affiliations in the manuscript for the reviewers to see, but reviewers do not know each other's identities, nor do the authors receive information about who has reviewed their manuscript.
Supplementary material are not included in those 12 pages and will also only be made available online. We encourage you to submit supplementary material along with your submission to clarify your contribution with the reviewers.
After preparation of the paper in the instructed format, the paper must be submitted as a single PDF file through the submission system.
Long Abstract:
Alternative to the Regular Paper, there is also the possibility to submit Long Abstracts, which are intended to showcase novel ideas, software platforms, or recent breakthroughs, including those with preliminary but limited experimental validation. Accepted Long Abstracts will be presented as oral and/or poster presentations at IPCAI.
Submissions are in IJCARS format (Springer Nature's LateX Template), up to 4 pages (~1500 words) including abstract, tables, references and figure captions.
There is no need for an intention to submit.
A short structured abstract is required. This short abstract should be in a structured format (Purpose, Methods, Results, Conclusion) and should not exceed 250 words.
The review process is single blind: authors declare their names and affiliations in the manuscript for the reviewers to see, but reviewers do not know each other's identities, nor do the authors receive information about who has reviewed their manuscript.
After preparation of the paper in the instructed format, the paper must be submitted as a single PDF file through the submission system.
In case confidential information shall be submitted to IPCAI, authors are responsible for the following:
Including a prominent sign (such as a “Confidential, patent pending” watermark) on every page of the paper.
Specifying all domain conflicts upon submission.
Submitting a document as supplementary material explaining your expected handling of confidentiality of the paper and providing a list of persons, institutions, and companies that should not be involved in the review process.
Informing the program chair(s) through an email about submission of such a paper including the submission number.
The assignment of area chairs and reviewers will then be performed considering these restrictions. Throughout the review process, your submission will only be visible to the program chairs and the specific area chairs and reviewers responsible for the paper who also signed a confidentiality agreement. All other area chairs and reviewers will not have access to your submission.
