Create a physical circle around you
As stated in the previous writing, beginners should make their best effort to create and use magick tools for the first few years of practice, as it invokes a different feeling in a ritual that once the practitioner is familiarized with, can be called up mentally.
If one has the luxury of working outdoors, the circle can be draw on dirt, or sand in a clockwise fashion, usually starting at the east until the circle is complete, otherwise a cord, rope, or long enough belt can be laid in a circle around yourself, closing all gaps and meditating on the perceived safety of the circle. Salt can also be poured in a circle, but that can be messy and costly in comparison to the other options. If these are inconvenient options still, one can simply use their dagger to draw a circle in the air around them, while saying a statement of invocation for the circle. The specific wording is not as important as the intent and visualization of light being projected from the heart, through the dagger, and onto the environment.
when you've gotten so comfortable inside your circle and trust your magick to be where it needs to be, ritual tools will not be necessary as closing your eyes and using your imagination in a meditative state will be able to invoke the same feelings and sensations as performing the action physically.
Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram (aka LBRP)
For those of you that have began a path of more ceremonial or ritualistic magick, you may have read up about the LBRP. The LBRP is a short ritual that combines a number of smaller rituals which are simply physical gestures accompanied by visualizations and vocal vibrations of ancient Judeo-Christian holy names.
The ritual begins with what's known as "The Kabbalistic Cross" which to many will look a lot like the christian gesture of "the father, the son, and the holy spirit" but as stated, is accompanied by visualizations and vibrations, following this the practitioner draws elemental pentagrams in the air (usually with a dagger counter clockwise to banish, or with a wand and clockwise to invoke) in a circle around them calling out each name and visualizing all the corresponding color schemes. After this the practitioner will call out the four archangels or as some know them "the watchers" and that will set up the circle around them efficiently.
Details will not be given here for the LBRP as there is a lot of information that is easily accessible on the internet and a lot of the detail can vary from practitioner to practitioner, so the best method for those who are looking study this ritual, would be to tweak the spell slightly and a little at a time, taking notes of the results each time to gather information about the best way the technique can be done.
