In recent years, the Adam Mickiewicz university of Poznań has established itself as an important research centre for morphosyntax and alignment. Its contributions to these topics take both synchronic and diachronic approaches, ranging from in-depth studies on specific features in individual languages all the way to large-scale comparisons of entire language families.
