Interlaced Roots had a collab meeting with Jeweler's Craft Club at Cleveland High School. Students made planters out of recycled water bottles. Through this activity we educated students about upcycling. Many of the plants have already started growing!

Black Thumb Farm's open farm day gave Interlaced Roots members another opportunity to visit the farm. We learn about sustainable food growing methods and gained inspiration for the garden we plan to create. Interlaced Roots members Allison, Esme, Lumi, and Carissa attended. 

Black Thumb Farm, a local community farm with a similar mission hosted a Dia de Los Muertos event. Interlaced Roots members attened the festivities and volunteered for face painting. Members also got to take home their own potted plants. 

Interlaced Roots participated in Coming Out Day hosted by the Cleveland GSA Club on October 11, 2024. We educated students about how food insecuirty affect the LGBTQ+ community. The welcoming and accepting environment of the event was very inspiring.

Interlaced Roots participated in our first Club Rush on August 25, 2024. We introduced the school to our club's mission. Club Rush was a success and many students signed up!

The annual 818 Market at Cleveland High School has become a highly anticipated event for students to learn about different Asian cultures. Interlaced Roots had a booth at this market where we served spam musubi as a prize for our game.  The game was a matching game where students matched the cuisine to the country.

Interlaced Roots held a fundraiser at the GMS Magnet Picnic on April 20, 2024. We sold fruit cups and introduced community members to our club. Interlaced Roots members Abby, Esme, Inesha, Stephanie, and Lumi participated in this event.
