There are at least 370,000 households located in Los Angeles that are experiencing food insecurity. These neighborhoods lack the access to nutritious food which is a fundamental human right.
Our high school is located in Reseda, California where a quarter of the residents live beneath the poverty line and don’t live within a 10-mile radius of a grocery store. There is a 62% of Cleveland’s students that are economically disadvantaged and face daily struggles of accessing healthy foods due to Redlining.
