Inside air/Concrete Slab/Waterproofing/XPS insulation/filter fabric/ballast (either stone, pavers or tile and screed, etc)
Location: Over concrete slab
Product type: Depolyline XPS rigid insulation
Substrate preparation: Prepare substrates are as follows:
- Clean and remove of any deposit or finish which may impair adhesion or location of insulation.
-Remove excessive projections.
- Voids and hollows > 10 mm with abrupt edges: Fill with a cement:sand mix not stronger than the substrate or weaker than the bedding.
Laying pattern: Stack or Stretcher bond, with edges tightly butted.
If waterproof membrane above
Fixing: Adhesive fix directly to the concrete floor slab.
If waterproof membrane below
Ballast layer: depends on insulation thickness (50-75mm depth using 20-40mm round stone)
DePolyLine XPS
Using Depolyline builders, architects and owners can use a non-porous insulation with either high medium or low insulation with compressive strength.

DeployLine XPS Ultra
The is a special order range used as lightweight concrete fill to make slabs lighter in weight. In the past De Silva Solutions has provided help to TTW and Arup's on options available in Australia.
Integra Building Products uses DeSilva=Solutions grading system
- 700kPa DOW Floormate grade XPS insulation. The R-Value will depend on the blowing agent required. Greenstar no longer requires the insulation to be free from ozone depleting potential in material or manufacture. We do not import product from countries that may use or recycle XPS with CFC or HCFC's.
- 350kPa Styroboard XPS by Foamex is a locally made XPS with the opportunity to provide fast delivery and assurance. Where possible customers are asked to order and confirm their requirements before installation to gain the most of our experience.
