WHAT WE BELIEVE

The Bible 

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable to our everyday lives. All scriptures is God-breathed. 

God

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things, perfect in love, holiness, power and truth, and worthy of all our worship.

The Fall of Humanity

We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is both fully God and fully human, and that He is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, rose again from the dead, and ascended into heaven. Through His victory over sin and death, we receive forgiveness, new life and the hope of eternal life.

Salvation

We believe that every person needs God's forgiveness and that salvation is a gift of His grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ. To receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth’ we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.

Living a Holy and Fruitful Life

We believe that God calls us to live holy and fruitful lives that reflect His character. We are called to turn away from sin, grow in Christlikeness and allow God's Word to shape our thoughts, attitudes and actions. As we depend on Him, the Holy Spirit works in us to transform our lives and help us become more like Jesus.

Water Baptism and the Holy Spirit

We believe that water baptism is an important step of obedience for every believer, publicly declaring our faith in Jesus Christ and identifying with His death and resurrection. We also believe that believers are called to be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables and empowers us to live according to God's Word, grow in Christlikeness, serve others with love, use the gifts He gives us, and boldly share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 

The Church

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all who believe in Him. We believe that gathering regularly for worship, fellowship, prayer, teaching from God's Word and the breaking of bread is essential to our growth as followers of Jesus. 

Our Purpose and Mission

We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfil our role in the Church, and serve the community in which we live.

Healing and Wholeness

We believe that God is our healer and that divine healing is part of His provision for humanity. We believe in praying for those who are sick, trusting God for healing, restoration and strength. We also believe that God works in our lives to bring spiritual growth, emotional restoration and transformation, enabling us to serve Him and others more effectively.

Eternity

We believe that our eternal destination with or without God is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Return of Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ will return as He promised. We look forward to His return with hope and expectation, knowing that He will fulfil God's purposes and bring His Kingdom to completion. This promise encourages us to live faithfully, share the Gospel and remain committed to the mission He has given us.
