Our Vision
Empowered by the Holy Spirit to Be Witnesses in All Nations
Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Our vision is founded on the words of Jesus Christ to His disciples before He ascended into heaven. Jesus gave them a promise, a purpose and a mission. This same calling continues today: to be empowered by the Holy Spirit and to carry the message of Jesus Christ to people everywhere.
1. Empowered by the Holy Spirit
Our vision begins with the Holy Spirit because we recognise that the work God has called us to do cannot be accomplished through our own strength, wisdom or ability alone. Jesus promised His disciples that they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them. This power was given not simply for personal blessing, but to equip them to fulfil God's purpose. As a church, we desire to be led by the Holy Spirit, strengthened by His presence, guided by His wisdom and equipped with boldness to serve God and others. We seek to grow in faith, live in obedience to God's Word and allow the Holy Spirit to transform our lives so that Christ can be seen through us.
We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers us to live out our faith and fulfil the mission Jesus has entrusted to us.
2. To Be Witnesses
Jesus did not call His followers merely to believe in Him privately; He called them to be His witnesses.
As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to testify to who He is, what He has done for us and the salvation He offers to the world.
Being a witness involves more than preaching or speaking about Jesus. It means living in a way that reflects His love, character, truth and grace. Through our words, actions, relationships and service, we demonstrate the reality of Christ in our lives.
As a church, we want to equip every believer to share the gospel with boldness, compassion and faithfulness. We desire to see people encounter Jesus, experience His transforming power and become witnesses themselves.
We are not only called to know Jesus, but to make Him known.
3. In All Nations
The mission Jesus gave His disciples was never limited to one people, one culture or one location. He called them to carry the gospel from Jerusalem to Judea, Samaria and the ends of the earth.
This shows us that God's heart is for all people to hear the good news of Jesus Christ.
For our church, reaching all nations begins right where God has placed us. It means loving and serving our local community, welcoming people from every background and sharing the hope of Christ with those around us. It also means looking beyond our own community to support missions, reach other cultures and participate in taking the gospel to the ends of the earth.
We recognise that the Great Commission is bigger than our church building. God calls us to go beyond our walls, cross cultural and geographical boundaries, and reach people who have yet to hear or experience the love of Jesus.
Our mission begins here, but God's heart extends to the whole world.
