NCO Training Guidelines
All Officers should read this and use it as a guideline for NCO Training.
This is a step-by-step guide for NCO training for Purge. NCO Training should be done immediately after a user is promoted to SGT.
Failure to train NCOs will result in punishments.
Step I - Roster Update & Tags
Have them go into the discord and make them fill out a roster update as they would for any promotion. After this, tell them to request NCO tags in #requesting-regimental-tags.
In game name: Vertigo
In game regiment: Purge
In game rank: SGT (NCO Tags)
Step II - Bodygroups
Once messaged for tags, inform them they are allowed to wear their pauldron now (if they do not know how to equip bodygroups, give them a quick tutorial). You should also briefly go over where they stand at PDBs as an NCO.
Step III - Responsibilites
Next, inform them of the responsibilities of an NCO. Go over the new channels in the discord, mainly punishment requests and training logs. Make sure they know what these channels are for and how to request a punishment. Here are some other things you should briefly cover.
-NCOs should lead small groups of Purge and be able to help officers when commanding Purge
-NCOs should set an example for Enlisted, meaning more maturity and behaving well
-NCOs should be able to answer basic questions and help Enlisted understand the battalion and server.
Step IV - Tryouts
Send them the Tryout Doc, without leaking the doc to anyone who shouldn’t have it. Tell them to save it and inform them it is also in pinned messages in #iq-nco-chat. Tell them to follow the tryout guide step for step and ensure they understand they need an Officer or Senior NCO supervising their first tryout. Inform the NCO that they must do 3 tryouts a week to meet the current quota.
Step V - Teamspeak
Teamspeak. Inform the NCO that teamspeak is mandatory and they must be in it at all times while playing on a Purge/IQ job. If they do not have Teamspeak installed, send them this. Help them navigate to the Inquisitorius section and figure out which channels to be in.
Channels
Inquisitorius Operations: The mainline comms channel used for both IQ and Purge while on the server. This channel is expected to be slightly more serious and RP based.
Inquisitorius Lounge: Secondary comms channel, same uses as the Operations channel, but with less of a focus on RP and a more relaxed discussion area.
Lounge and Operations can be used interchangeably, usually depending on where the highest volume of players are.
Inquisitorius Training Room: This room is to be used by any IQ members who need to train someone (Officer training, Initiate training etc.). Please respect the trainer and do not join unless requested to join.
Command Waiting Room: Join this channel if you need to speak to any Executive Command (VCMDR - CMDR). Wait in the channel until they contact you or message them if it’s been over 10 minutes.
Command Office: This is for Executive Command communications and is limited to VCMDR+ unless someone is requested to be there.
Inquisitorius Command Meeting Room: This is the communication channel for all Inquisitorius. It's the Main room for Officer meetings.
Step VI - Conclusion
Unless the SGT has any questions, you can dismiss them and resume your regular duties.
As an NCO, These are common mistakes made by Enlisted, Make sure you have your eye open, as sometimes Enlisted are unaware about the polices we have in place!
The Helmet. Some enlisted will accidently spawn with their helmet off, If you see this make sure you tell them the rules about having the Helmet Off, As explained in the introduction to purge; We are old clone troopers, meaning we are REDACTED to everyone except top very few personnel. Anybody that sees our face is KOS, and should be silenced.
Electro-Weapons. Purge Troopers are equipped with a special electro weapon depending on your rank or which Sub-battalion you are in. (Ex. Standard, HVY, BR, Officer) Electro weapons are only meant to be used on JEDI, SABER, OR FORCE USERS AT ANY TIME, UNLESS GIVEN PERMISSION BY 2LT+.
Saluting. Purge Troopers salute all 2LT+ & IQ Command. We don’t salute to Army or Naval Command. Purge Troopers are expected to Salute to upon their presence in any area that Purge is stationed in. When saluting you will continue saluting until you are put 'At Ease', or after 15 seconds. Keep in mind, EVERYBODY Bows down to the Emperor. Only the Emperor, We salute Vader.
Medical. Purge troopers are allowed to go to Medbay at any given time to receive Stim, Health, Shields, and ammo at any given time. However Purge troopers ARE NOT allowed to go for Experiments, Surgeries, check-ups, ETC, without MAJ+ permission as stated we are REDACTED meaning medical are not allowed to perform anything on a Purge Trooper that aren’t the basics without permission.
Skill Points. Purge is the only non-donator battalion that has access to the skill machine. The Skill Machine allows Purge to Upgrade our speed, health, and armor with the skill point we’ve acquired over time. Every 2 combat levels you get, you will receive a skill point that can be used in the Skill Machine.
Expectations
We have very simple expectations for you as an NCO, we expect you to lead enlisted when officers aren’t there or if an officer asks you to. As well as being a good example for the enlisted and not breaking rules and being a bad example. Tryouts, Tryouts, Tryouts, make sure you’re doing them! These keep our branch alive, we depend on you to actively be doing tryouts.
Finally, Do your best, and if you need help just ask! We love to see our NCOs trying their hardest and pushing themselves to improve themselves.
Rules
You’re meant to be a leader and keep leading the enlisted, this doesn’t mean you’re above them. Make sure to treat them with respect still.
We expect you to be fairly active if you can’t be active make sure to fill out an LOA.
You are not able to Strike, Promote, PT, or Remove anyone. If you’re having issues with some bring it up to a 2LT+ to handle it.
Try your best! Put some effort in, we pay attention to that a lot!
Tryouts
We expect you as an NCO to be doing tryouts often. If you aren’t doing any you’re not really going to get anywhere within purge make sure to use the document! You should be doing about 3-4 tryouts a week yourself! Our Goal for our NCO team is for there to be at least 3 tryouts done a day for Purge.
