Barreiro is a Portuguese city in the district of Setúbal, with 63 119 inhabitants (2021). The municipality is limited to the east by the municipality of Moita, to the southeast by Palmela, to the south by Setúbal and Sesimbra, to the west by Seixal and to the north by the Tagus River and its estuary. On the other side is the city of Lisbon. It should be noted that the city of Barreiro is strategically located 6 km from the centre of Lisbon connected by boat. Bathed by the Tagus River and supported by an important road-railway-river terminal, it is located 20 km from the city of Lisbon by land (by the 25 de Abril Bridge — 35 km by the Vasco da Gama Bridge) and about 35 km from Setúbal, district capital (via the A2 motorway).

Lisbon is a city, a municipality, capital of Portugal and the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, with an urban area of 100.05 km² and 545 796 inhabitants (2021), it is the largest city in the country. It is the political center of Portugal, seat of the Government and residence of the Head of State, and is the westernmost capital of the European continent, on the Atlantic coast.
Lisbon is considered a global city due to its importance in financial, commercial, media, artistic, educational and touristic aspects. It has a network of motorways and a high-speed rail system (Alfa Pendular), which connects the main Portuguese cities to the capital. The city is the seventh most visited in southern Europe, globally, it was the 35th city with the largest tourist destination in 2015. In 2018, it won the awards for 'Best City Destination' and 'Best City Break Destination' at the World Travel Awards on a global level.
The city's administrative status was originally granted by the dictator Julius Caesar as a Roman municipality. The emperor proudly added to the word 'Olissipo', which gave rise to the name of Lisbon, the designation 'Felicidade Júlia' (Felicitas Julia), in memory of him.

Moita
Moita is a Portuguese town, part of the district of Setúbal and the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon, with 19,998 inhabitants (2021), located on the left bank of the Tagus Estuary, with a riverfront of more than 20 km. The municipality is limited to the north, across the shallows of the Tagus estuary, by the main area of the municipality of Montijo, to the northeast also by Montijo, to the southeast and south by Palmela and to the west by Barreiro. The municipality of Moita, part of the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon, with the new centrality and accessibility brought by the construction of the Vasco da Gama Bridge, constitutes an asset in the positioning of this municipality in the region of Setúbal, namely for the enhancement of its natural resources and area riverside, constituting an attraction for the installation of new equipment, companies and residents. It has an interesting heritage linked to the river, pleasant green areas and the richness of cultural and recreational activity make the municipality of Moita a must-visit place for those who want to get to know the south bank of the Tagus better.

Setúbal
Setúbal is a Portuguese city, seat of the Municipality of Setúbal, capital of the District of Setúbal, an integral part of the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon. It has approximately an area of 51.49 km2 and 90,396 inhabitants (2021), making it the 9th largest city in the country. The municipality is limited to the west by the municipality of Sesimbra, to the northwest by the municipality of Barreiro, to the north and east by the municipality of Palmela and to the south by the Sado Estuary.
Due to the historical involvement with the Sado River estuary and the proximity of the ports of Setúbal and Sesimbra to the Atlantic Ocean, the gastronomy of the Setúbal region makes a strong use of fish-based dishes and products that develop favorably in the climate of the region. Wine production in the Setúbal region has given rise to internationally recognised products, with a variety of quality red and white wines, obtained from grapes matured on the slopes of the Serra da Arrábida. Among these products, Moscatel de Setúbal should be highlighted, a renowned liqueur wine of demarcated origin centered in Azeitão.
One of the strong attractions that Setúbal has to offer to those who visit it is its beaches. It has a set of beaches that are quite different from each other, but with one feature in common: they are all part of the Arrábida Natural Park.
