BUILDING THE CAPACITY OF 21st CENTURY STEM/STEAM TEACHING
Building the Capacity of Teachers in STEM/STEAM Teaching
In our scheme of Teachers supporting Teachers, it involves the establishment of a network of Science and Arts teachers, who see the need for professional development and are willing to support each other via information and best practice sharing.
Teachers in the STEM fields believe in their ability in using the competency-based approach in teaching Sciences. Yet, apart from teaching using Inquiry-based approach, they need to be versed with the 21st century teaching skills whereby they help their learners think out of the box. This can only be achieved through knowledge of the 21st century teaching/learning tools such as collaboration, inclusiveness and the use of technology.
