In the 8th year of basic education, the objectives of English teaching usually focus on developing more advanced language skills and fostering greater communicative competence in the language. Here I present some general objectives that could be relevant:
1 Develop Listening and Oral Comprehension:
Improve the ability to understand and respond to instructions and conversations in English.
2 Strengthen Reading Comprehension:
Read and understand more complex texts, including stories, articles, and informational texts.
3 Improve Written Expression:
Develop skills to review and correct grammatical and punctuation errors in writing.
4 Expand Vocabulary and Grammar Usage:
Learn and use new vocabulary and expressions in appropriate contexts.
5 Promote Intercultural Communication Skills:
Know and respect cultural differences and forms of communication in English-speaking contexts.
6 Develop Autonomy in Language Learning:
Encourage the use of additional resources such as dictionaries, educational applications and English media for independent learning.
These objectives are designed to prepare students for a more fluent and effective command of English, integrating communication skills, cultural understanding and academic competence.
