Activity1: Project 1 Analysis and Completion (15 mins)

  • Big Ideas and lingering questions (Jamboard) First as individuals; then as groups

  • What's Next?: Writing and submitting essays with DLL Portfolio in mind


Activity 2: Essential elements of our Disasters Jigsaw Model

  • Umbrella Question: Are we prepared to meet a disaster and survive as a family

  • Phase One: The first question: purpose, product, assessment, inquiry

  • Phase 2: The higher level question. Purpose, product

  • The culminating experience and final assessment...the end

  • After it's all over: The Big Think: what's that? Why? How? What's next?

  • Reflection about the technology


Activity 3: Project 2: Planning



Activity 4: Form Project 2 Teams and have team meetings. Stay as long as you like.

    • Please go to Project 1 assignment page for more details about what you are turning in. Turn in all in as one document: introduction about your learning journey with the 4 synthesis essays for each topic, along with a bibliography for each topic or of the items used.

  • Textbook reading submitted?

  • Models of Inquiry submitted?

  • Bring a rough draft of Project 2 to our next workshop
