Tier List (Global)

Tier List Information:

This tier list seeks to equally rate 5★ units based on four different aspects: How strong the character is, how well they can fulfill their role (and surpass it's limitations), how useful they are in PvE content, as well as their skills and stats. Only relevant A.O.Ms will be mentioned. To ensure the full potential of the character is being compared accurately, all characters will be treated as 6★ units. The more diverse a character can be within their class, the higher they will be placed on the list.

Keep in mind the order that the characters are placed in within the tiers does not dictate that they are better or worse than the other units above or below them.

Also, explanations for why a character has been placed in it's respective tier will be provided in the drop down beside character's name.

With all that said, enjoy the tier list.

"Can't beat Revchi." - Hiro 2020

Final Verdict:

The best Enhancer currently in the game! He provides a plethora of fantastic buffs for the entirety of your team, including the highly coveted CRIT rate buff! Not to mention, they also designed him, conveniently enough, to put up some very nice damage numbers as well. Not necessarily a must have, but if you do manage to get him, your life will be a lot easier for the coming months.

Best of luck on your summons!

Arcane Tier

Asta(Black Divider)*

He doesen't know the word defeat! Asta now has the power to finish off the Devil and save the Clover Kingdom. His AB1 deals damage in a wide area and removes enemy buffs. He is able to do huge amounts of damage not only because of his high attack but also because of his AB2 that gives him invincibility and an attack boost. His AB3 damages all the enemies on the map.To top it all off,his arcane art deals damage in a vertical line doing huge damage and also sealing enemy secret moves for a period of time. His A.O.M increases damage during A.O.M so you definetly don't want him as a leader. On the other hand,he comes with the Black Bulls v2 formation that is a better version of the current Black Bull formation. He hits hard and takes hits without getting a scratch. This is the atti tude of a future Wizard King!

Devil*

He Speaks? Millions Dead. He's still one of the better/best units in the game. With 2 AoE damaging skills, and the ability to formation lock/seal A.O.M., he's totally disgusting in a PvP environment. He may not be at his full potential just yet, but he's still a truly awe-inspiring unit. If you're lucky enough to get him, congrats! We can't be friends.

Yuno(SO-Zephyr)*

The Wizard King wanna-be himself! Yuno is a fantastic defender that can also deal heaps of damage to his enemies. His AB1 is a vertical attack which raises his hate. This ability pairs well with his AB2 that makes him invincible and shields all allies. His AB3 attacks opponents in front of him and lowers their SPD stat. His arcane art attacks the enemies and prevents them from using abilities and his A.O.M makes participating allies invincible. His determination and power shows trough his resolve.

Tag Charla+Yami*

They finally work together!Yami and Charla fight on the same front to take down the last enemy. She is one of the best attackers in the game with high stats, insane damage and healing. Her AB1 deals damage to enemies in range and has a chance to inflict slip damage. Her AB2 is the healing ability which is a good addition to her kit.Her AB3 is a multi hit to all enemies in range and her tag ability is a single target attack. Her A.O.M gives the participants a chance to inflict slip on their attacks, not a very good A.O.M skill but she isn't meant to be the leader. Her grimoie skill is the Blue Rose v2 formation. Not the best formation but it can be a replacement if you don't have a good A.O.M formation. Her arcane art which looks epic is none other than the Dimension Slash Equinox and it deals great damage+fixed damage. She pairs up well with any team and in the end, teaming up with Yami wasn't a bad idea afterall.

Tag Revchi + Gueldre*

Jack[Ex]

Tag Yuno+Asta*

The two brothers attack together to deafeat anyone who stands in their path!Tag Yuno and Asta is a hybrid unit thats able to protect his allies and eliminate his enemies. His AB1 attacks enemies in range, lowers their SPD and has a chance to apply stop on them. His AB2 makes him and nearby allies invincible for a period of time and his AB3 is a full map damaging move. His arcane art does immense damage and prevents enemies from receiving buffs. His A.O.M increases damage dealt on A.O.M by all participants which is pretty bad.His relic is every ring combined and much better.Overall, his strenght and utility is what makes him a scary unit to approach.

Tag Fuegoleon + Nozel*

The proud silver eagles captain and the might lion captain cooperating against the threat! His kit makes the unit one of the better attackers in the game. His AB1 is a wide scale damaging attack..His AB2 gives counter to him and the allies next to him. The AB3 is a vertical attack that has a high chance to seal enemy arcane arts. His arcane art is a full map attack that seals enemy arcane arts for a long time. His tag attack is a single target heavy attack and his A.O.M raises the blue crystals drop while in A.O.M. To top it off,his relic is great for defenders since it has a high HP and DEF stat. Oveall, this unit is able to hit hard and prevent enemies from fighting back. A truly perfect duo, their skills work so well with eachother!

Black Asta*

Julius(DEF)*

The valiant protector of the Clover Kingdom finally gets a proper representation within Phantom Knights! And just like that, every other Defender in the game is irrelevant. With an AA that heals all allies on your team by quite a large amount, and removes all debuffs from them as well, he's already leagues above the rest. Not only will he be tanking substantial amounts of damage, but he'll be keeping your party in good health while doing so. And that's just the tip of the Iceberg. His A.O.M. functions essentially like a low level funeral mirror for all participants, and his kit is just so versatile. His AB1 raises his own DEF and Hate, and buffs the defense of all those behind him as well. AB3 gives him total invincibility, which just come on. A tank with invincibility? Yes please. And as an extra bit of icing on the cake, his AB2 does full row damage to enemies with a chance to apply stop. Not to mention his tremendous HP and DEF stats. Think what you may, Patri, but there are no flaws in this Wizard King to be found.

Fuegoleon (Salamander Arm)*

Mars and Henry who?

Charmy (Dwarf)*

Just when you thought she couldn't get anymore adorable (or powerful), Dwarf Charmy arrives onto the scene! And ohhhhh boy, is this a unit that is more than worth your jewels. Excelling in every stat, aside from her INT, she is truly a force to be reckoned with in pretty much any game mode. With an AB1 that does damage to an enemy, and heals back a portion of said damage to Charmy along with an AB2 that buffs her SPD and DEF she can even pseudo-tank for your team in place of a unit like Sala Fuego. Her massive HP stat certainly helps with that as well. If that wasn't enough, she has an AB3 that buffs her own CRT rate and lowers an enemies, as well as an AA that buffs her own ATK in exchange for lowering an enemies, this unit can essentially fill 3 roles at once. That's right 3. God what a ridiculous unit. Oh, and did I mention her AB2 also debuffs an enemies SPD and DEF? Man, Lira really should have thought twice before wasting that food, because it bred an absolute monster. But I suppose without it, we would have missed out on a top tier waifu. So cheers, Lira! And congrats to anyone lucky enough to pull this card!

Mereoleona+ Fuegoleon*

Move over, Leo! You've still got a long way to go, cause your siblings just took the spot of best leader in the game! Seriously though, this unit is an absolute beast. Stats are built entirely around hefty damage, and ohoho boy do they ever do damage. Build this unit correctly, or hell even throw them on any old team, and they'll be hitting like a bridge collapsing on you. Couple a monstrous ATK stat of 920 with an AA, AB1 and AB3 that all do damage and you are good to crush every enemy in your path. Couple that with an AB2 that gives extra actions to themselves and a chance to counter and you've got the ultimate attacker kit. If you pull them, congrats, you will be well off for a long time coming. And did I mention they have the best relic in the game? Worth your jewels and sheets indeed. Seems in the end they're both worthy of being the strongest after all.

Noelle (Valentine's Day)**

Here to give Asta some Valentine's day love (I told you, it's not like that you bakaaaaa!!!), is the resident royal misfit of the Black Bulls, Noelle Silva. Though this time, in some lovely attire! How adorable! And not to mention she's a great defender to boot. Her secret gives her a chance to seal enemies secret move AND lower their attack. Not bad, but she gets even better! Her A.O.M. gives nearby allies temporary invincibility, which will be great for late game content! So all-in-all, she's not a bad leader candidate for your squad. She also comes equipped with an extremely good kit for a defender unit. Giving herself hate, a defense buff, AND heals her own HP? These royals really are something else. But not only can she make herself into an almost immovable wall, she can also do the same for her allies. Looks like her sweet side is showing through in this unit. (I-it's not like I care about hi- I mean them, or anything. I just don't want to fail our mission!) She can raise an allies's defense and even recover some of their HP! Oh, and don't forget that she gives herself and allies in range a little bit of armor for good measure. If you have a thing for Tsundere support/tanks, then now is your time.

Mereoleona (Yukata)**

It would seem Mereoleona is definitely ready for the heat of the Summer Festival! And her kit definitely reflects her attire as well: very hot. Her AB1 along with AB2 make a great combo. With AB1 increasing the ATK and SPD of her allies, and her AB3 lowers the attack and speed of enemies in range. Giving her a nice Buffer/Jammer combo. Her AB2 is a normal damaging ability, with a decent bit of range on it as well. It'll certainly pack a punch though, thanks to her buffs and overall offensive power. Her AA is certainly a blast to use. Heh. Besides dealing great damage with it, it also raises the blue gem drop rate of all allies within it's range. And to top it all off, her AOM is just an enhanced version of Leo's, giving her allies and herself a nice CRT rate buff. Even when she's taking a break, she's still the Uncrowned, Undefeated Lioness. And for good reason. Don't let the Yukata fool you, she's still a force to be reckoned with!

Witch Queen(HEAL)*

The Queen herself has arrived.... Again! Bringing no mercy for those who may oppose her, as well as making sure her allies are well taken care of. Kahono and Mimosa who? Her AB1 is a massive heal to a single to an ally, which pairs brilliantly with her AB3, which brings with it a new mechanic. The prevention of death. Or at least, a high chance for death prevention for a single ally. A support unit if there ever was one. Her AB2 reflects her Jammer roots quite nicely, damaging an enemy for quite a bit and lowering their ATK and CRT rate. Then, hooo boy, her arcane art heals the whole team and gives them her nice little chance of death preventation buff, medium to be exact, for some time. And on top of all that, her A.O.M raises the defense of all the participants. Overall, the Witch Queen certainly retains her power with her second iteration

Mereoleona

The Undefeated, Uncrowned Lioness, earns her 0 tier spot having a skill from almost every role in the game. She has a 2 row Secret Move, which helps clearing out enemies. Her 2nd ability buffs the crit and attack of all allies behind her and it that wasn't enough they gave her access to a defense and hate increase, (Think of hate as a taunt, it makes enemies more likely to attack you and not your allies.) She also has the current highest attack stat in the game.

Yuno (Spirit Dive)*

A strength greater than the most blustering of winds! Yuno shows up, now even stronger than ever! And he's not sure as hell not gonna let Asta forget it. His AB1 and AB3 are both damaging abilities, with his first hitting an entire row for varying amounts. While his 3rd takes up the top 2 columns and does heavy amounts of damage. They work together with his AB2, which boosts not only his, but also all allies positioned in front of him with bonus ATK and SPD. And just because he's broken as can be, his AA hits the whole map and deals immense damage, making him one of the best nukers in the game. His A.O.M ability also gives all participants an attack buff (L), which will definitely see some usage if you don't have any better options available. While his DEF and HP essentially leave him made of paper, he makes up for that easily with raw damage potential and excels as one of the top Attackers in the game. His relic is the best in the game right now, tied with Tag Mereoleona's. Infused with Bells power, Yuno makes his case for why his power is worthy of being the next Wizard King!

Licht (Awakened)*

The true leader of the elves wakes up at the sound of his beloved friend.Licht is a damage machine worthy of his title. His AB1 is a damage move on a single enemy. His AB3 is another move that damages enemies now in a horizontal line. These work well because of his attack stat that is the biggest yet at 960.His AB2 absorbs enemy arcane art gauge and raises his own attack increasing his overall damage even further.Lumiere's best friend doesen't stop here and shows even greater power. His arcane art does incredible damage to all the enemies in a vertical line and lowers their arcane art meter. His A.O.M takes ally defense and turns it into atk for himself and he comes with the Midnight Eye v2 formation. His resolve to save the Clover Kingdom gives him the necessary power to fight!

Black Asta+Yami*

Surpassing their limits, the long awaited duo is here to prove their strength! And prove their strength they do. Tag Black Asta/Yami are a heavy hitter that also provide a fair amount of utility to the team. Their AB1 damages the enemy and has a chance to transfer the enemy buffs to themself, which can prove very useful on specific stages and especially in PvP. His AB2 is a support skill that heals himself and nearby allies as well as removing their status effects. This skill will make sure their friends make it to the end, effectively using their swords to save everyone. His AB3 does great damage to an enemy, as well as 1000 fixed damage and their Dual Attack does damage to an enemy and gains immunity to damage for a short time. His A.O.M. transfers allies status elements to enemies and to finish it off, his arcane art is an AOE heavy attack that has a chance to prevent enemies from applying buffs. If that wasn't enough, their relic is one of the best relics in the game and provides exceptional stat bonuses. Their opponents better watch out, because they didn't come to mess around!

William+Julius*

He grew up into the captain of the best squad in the Clover Kingdom because of his mentor Julius.Tag William+Julius is a jammer that doesent give the enemy a chance to attack! His AB1 has a medium chance to transfer the enemy buff to himself. This works well against harder stages where enemies are covered in buffs. His tag attack damages the enemy and has a high chance to stun the enemy. His AB2 is a basic damaging ability and his AB3 grants a large delay on enemy attacks and lowers their attack stat. His arcane art adds to his already amazing jammer kit by having a high chance to stun the enemies in the range and delay enhancement techniques. His grimoire skill is the Golden Dawn v2 formation which is pretty bad considering 3 units will be in the front. His A.O.M shares half of his arcane art gauge to the participating allies. Not a good A.O.M since there are much better options. He clearly learnt a lot from Julius and together they are unstoppable!

Tier 1

Patri*

So Patri I mean Licht.. As the leader of the Midnight Sun you think he'd be more generous... But we don't talk about his A.O.M here. Outside of that, though, this Licht is an offensive monster. Every stat he has is great, with DEF and SPD being the only two that are a little below average. But other than that, he's nothing to sneeze at, even when debuting alongside Word Devil. With his 2nd skill raising his own secret gauge (should be 10% if I remember correctly) , as well as his attack, and his ult increasing blue crystal drops, he should be able to use his nuke of a secret move before most others. And as an added bonus since, Blue Crystal drop is a stat, it pairs extremely well with his 3rd. A skill which happens to be a full map AoE attack. He may not be the real Licht, but he can hold his own just fine.

Asta (White Day)**

Asta (Royal Knights)*

Not giving up is his magic! The Royal Knights exam certainly left Asta with some newfound power, and he shows that off here. His AB1 and AB3 are damaging abilities, albeit having a bit of an odd range. His first hits in the shape of a V, and this third in the shape of an X. Though each deal huge amounts of damage, thanks to him having one of the highest attack stats in the game. He can even take some hits, thanks to his AB2 that gives his an attack boost and gives him a bonus chance to counter. His 4000 HP also helps make sure he won't be shredded too easily when he's out on the front lines, along with a reasonable DEF stat at 300. His AA hits all the enemies in a straight line, dealing a lot of damage. And as an added bonus he comes with a chance to seal enemy abilities. His A.O.M and relic aren't good at all, but still usable if you don't have anything else in your arsenal. Asta keeps getting up, and gets even stronger everytime. While Yuno may have a fancy new technique to show off, Asta won't allow himself to be left behind so easily! His will to fight is undying, and ever powerful!

Nozel (Null)

The captain of the Sliver Eagles and the oldest brother of the Silva family. He worked hard to become stronger and it shows up.His AB1 raises his defense a lot.His AB2 is a multi stage attack to one enemy and his AB3 is a multi stage attack to all enemies. His arcane art seals the enemy secret arts and abilities. His A.O.M gives invincibility to all participants and he comes with the new Silver Eagles v2 formation. He powered up and perfected his magic, with determination he proved once again that he is worthy of being a captain!

Grey

You thought this T1 entry was Dio, but it was me, Grey! Best G- ahem I mean Grey. A shocking entry in T1. Her secret raises the defense of her allies, while also granting them total, albeit temporary, invincibility. Quite nifty, if you ask me. Combine that with her skill 1 + 2, and you can counter every single debuff in the game! Which is very useful for those struggling with *shudder* WK Rades and all the nonsense that comes with. She can also lower an enemies attack which is meh, but all in all, she definitely deserves her spot in this tier. One could even say she, *ahem*, embarrasses the rest of the buffers on the list. Hazukashiiiii!

Asta (Swimsuit)**

Finral(JAM)

Ah yes, the best character in the series has arrived, and brought the best haircut in the sires with him. Unfortunately, not the best unit in the game. But he's nothing to sneeze at, either. His brother may be higher ranked than him here, but he'll always be Tier 0 in my heart. But bias aside, let's break down what makes him so useful as a support unit. His stats are great, aside from ATK and DEF, but he's not built to be offensive so that's not too big of a downside. What he is built to do, however, is make sure your offense is shredding enemies as efficiently as possible. And his Skill 1 and 3 do just that, with AB 1 buffing the SPD and CRIT of an ally, and AB 3 giving them two extra actions and damage immunity. His AB 2 is also capable of moving enemies to the front row, and debuffing enemy CRIT and SPD, which will be very helpful when trying to target back row units in PvP. His AA is also an AoE formation rearrangement coupled with a massive ATK and SPD debuff. He's certainly showing off the results of his training, as well his stylish new look, with this unit. More than just set of wheels, that's for sure.

Mimosa(ATK)

What's this? A Mimosa with cute art who can hold her own damage wise and comes with healing capability? Where have you been all my wi- I mean life. Gushing aside, Mimosa truly shows off just how much her skills have grown with this new rendition. Clocking in at a sizeable 800 ATK, along with some decent HP, SPD, and WIS, Mimosa is certainly no slouch in the attacker pool. An AA and AB1 that do single target damage, the AA also lowering enemy DEF for a nice bonus, is already a decent attacker kit right off the bat. But couple that with the fact that her AB3 is a full row attack, though with random damage, and that her AB2 is a 2XL heal to one ally, and oh man Mimosa starts looking even nicer on your team. Everyone will tell you she isn't worth it, but in all honesty she isn't a bad pick for you to run in the slightest. She'll hold her own just fine. A true symbol of growth. Even if she is a bit squishy, in more ways than one~

Witch Queen

A surprise entry in T1 is the Witch Queen, however it is well deserved. With her Ability 1 and 3, she has the power to lower enemies attack, defense, speed, wisdom and crit rate. Completely shutting them down. Pair that with her secret that has the chance to immobilize all enemies as well as seal their secret move, and she's definitely a force to be reckon with, oh and her ability 2 is a sizable heal, just because why not.

Zora

Another surprise entrant in tier 1 is Zora, the cool masked jerk brings a new feature into the game, traps. After a set amount of time or if the enemy formation swaps the traps will active. His 1st ability sets a stun trap that effects an entire enemy row, immobilizing them, 2nd ability sets a damage trap that targets a column, and with a secret that damages 2 enemy rows his attack ranges are amazing form early to late game. Lastly his 3rd ability lets an ally take no damage from enemy normal attacks, and even reflects some of that damage back. Really glad to see this game has some anime continuity.

Langris

Ah yes, the heir to the Vaude name. Easily one of the most unlikable characters to grace the pages of Black Clover. However, the sure made him easily likable within the pages of Phantom Knights. Langris is built to be a nuker, and oh boy does he excel at that. He is the best at everything, after all. Aside from, well, making friends. But he'll be great friend to your team comp, that's for sure. His stats excel in everything aside from DEF, but he makes up for his squishiness with raw power. Skills 1 and 3 are full row damaging attacks, which coupled with his ATK and CRIT buffing Skill 2, truly makes him a monster on the battle field. Not to mention his AA is a monstrous 8 hit, AoE attack. For a little extra spice, it debuffs enemy speed in order to make sure he gets to attack first. He'll essentially, well, erase anything in his path. Truly strength befitting of the Golden Dawn's Vice Captain.

William

Vanessa (Valentine's Day)**

They buffed her without a word. But on the bright side, she's now quite the solid attacker and definitely wouldn't be the worst option for your team if you are lacking in the unit department. Her stats may have received a sizable increase, but unfortunately her kit still isn't the best out there. So use her as you please.

Vanessa & Rouge

The Big Sister of the Black Bulls has finally gotten her rightful debut as a (usable) 5 star! And man, like any good Neesan, she's come well equipped to make sure her team is well protected. Vanessa is a Buffer whose main forte is keeping her teammates from taking too much damage... or really any damage at all. Her AB1 prevents and ally from taking damage from attacks and damaging skills, aside from enemy Secret Moves. Which, of course, works very well with her AB3. What might it be, you ask? Well, she's essentially a box of rings from the point shop. For herself, and all allies in range, she increases the activation speed of attack, recovery, and weakening skills. Talk about utility. Her AB2 applies buff ban to one enemy of her choosing, which as the name suggests, prevents that enemy from receiving any sort of buffs from their allies. Couple that with an AA that prevents all allies from being damaged, secret skills being the exception, and gives total invincibility for a shot time with formation match, and you've arguably one of the best Buffers in the entire game! They even made her A.O.M. heal participants because why not? Might as well go the whole nine yards. Not to mention her relic is very good for her fellow Jammers/Buffers due to its very high WIS stat. Now that our Neesan has finally broken free from the chains of fate, her power seems to be boundless! Plus, c'mon, Rouge is adorable.

Dorothy (Elf)

The captain of the Coral Peacocks..except she is possessed.Elf Dorothy is a jammer that revolves entirely around the sleep debuff. Her AB1 damages an enemy and has a high chance to inflict sleep. This works well with her AB3 because it has a medium chance to inflict sleep on all enemies. Her AB2 lowers an enemy's attack and removes all his buffs. All her abilities help to pack a big punch in her arcane art.Her arcane art damages all the enemies in range and crits if they are asleep and lowers their defense so they will never escape her grasp. Her A.O.M gives allies a low chance to apply sleep with their attacks for a short time. Her grimoire skill is the Hat of Dreams which is a good relic for support units because of the high wisdom stat.Never disturb Dorothy or she will make sure to end you while having a sweet last dream.

Tier 2

Yami

The fearless Captain of the Black Bulls dawns a sizable attack stat, sitting at 715. With his skill 1, he gives himself dodge to make up for his very low defense. His skill 2 attacks an enemy and lowers their defense. His last skill being a full column makes him good. Lastly his secret can do fixed damage(500 sadly) but can do lots of damage. He also has one of the best non critical A.O.Ms in the game, boosting every stat.

Nozel

Among the Siliva family, Nozel still stands at the top. With a powerful full map AOE secret that also gives his entire team a critical hit up buff, he's definitely got the potential to help your whole team do some nasty damage. His skill 2 raises his own attack power even further. So, pair that with his 1st and 3rd skill, and he'll be able to dish out lots of damage. Truly a worthy representation of the Silver Eagles Captain.

Yuno

Yuno was a free unit given to all players at the start of game. He's a decent attack unit if you're low on units, but he's nothing too special. However, his special recovers his own debuffs and his A.O.M increases the amount of blue crystals dropped during the A.O.M.

Asta (Demon Dweller)

Just like Yuno, Asta is a free unit given to all players at the start of the game. His special is a pretty wide AOE that absorbs secret move gauges of an ally and increases his own attack. In some ways this might be bad, but if used correctly it can be really useful. His skill 1 also absorbs a large part of the enemy's secret meter, and his skill 3 has a high chance of sealing the opponent's secret move.

Vetto (Awakened)

I can taste the despair of not being able to 6★ him from here. Unlike his attacker counterpart this Vetto is actually good 800 ATK for a f2p unit, that has AoE skills. Sign me up. His secret is a standard does damage to do damage, he can heal himself with his 1st skill, lower enemy defense with his 2nd skill and skill 3 is a AoE with the same range and Yuno's secret so yeah... he good.

Noelle (Yukata)**

Noelle now in a beautiful yukata. She is a jammer that stands up with the others. Her first ability infilicts stop on an enemy and prevents them from attacking. Her AB2 infilicts sleep on enemies as well as AB3.Sleep is not very good but it can definetly help her assist you in battle. Her arcane art is very good, lowering the attack and defense of an enemy making them easier to take down. Her A.O.M raises defense of participants which is not really bad.Her grimoire skill is the Old Fox formation which is a very good A.O.M formation. This Noelle is not afraid of showing up her skills and beauty!

Charlottle

Ah, Yami's unrealized love interest. With impressive ATK, HP, and WIS, you'd think she was offensively orientated. And you'd be right about that. But the thing is, she's supposed to be a Jammer. Which is what puts here in T2. Two of her abilities are DPS oriented, and her only main debuff skill is unlocked at 6 stars. Yeesh. Should have just made her an attacker if they wanted her to be a beatstick primarily. Not to mention her AOM will never see use, so that's minus another point for the Blue Rose Captain. If there's one redeeming factor in her kit, it's that her AA does provide a pretty sizeable amount of debuffs and damage to the enemies within range. If you don't have a better Jammer option, or even attacker, she's not the worst pick. But with 100 defense maxed out, she'll die if an enemy looks in her direction. Especially if that enemy is Yami, ahuhu.

Julius*

Despite coming out after Black Asta and Mereoleona, in a period where red and blue gems are fairly scarce, the Wizard King ends up being a pretty solid unit. With the ability to give an ally extra action(think of the mirror), this makes him excellent right off the bat, add in a full AoE ult and a chance to stun enemies, and you have a very viable, versatile character. Sadly, the only thing holding him back is his average stats. But other than that, Julius still does a great job for any team you throw him on! Shame he came out alongside Jien...

Henry

Hidden in the Hideout Henry makes his appearance. With an secret that deals damage, raises defense, and gives him armor. Ok Henry chill. His skill 1, deals damage to everyone for health and moves to the front of the formation. His skill 3 gives him deals damage and absorbs HP from the enemy, while raising hate. He has about everything you'd want a tank to have. And he has a 2nd skill that lets him to take about 1 hit. He earns his spot as a valued defender on the tier list.

Mimosa

I can fight too.... wrong show. Well Mimosa is one of the 99 re-roll characters and might be the best one. With an full team healing secret move, recovers an ally, and clear a abnormal condition. All in all she's a pretty good average healer.

Tier 3

Jack

Yami's Rival ends up an entire tier below him, huh? Guess we know who the real winner is. As an attacker, Jack functions well enough. But that's just it. That's all he can do. Every skill he has is centered around either buffing his attack, or doing damage. I guess it represents his character in the series well, but it makes him very underwhelming overall. His ATK is very good, and his HP and Speed are passable, but other than that he's made of glass. Scroll up and you'll find a list of much better, more versatile attackers to use. Another unit desperately in need of a V2. Such a shame. But for now (and always), Yami comes out on top.

Jien*

One of the newest units to hit the Global scene, and unfortunately he doesn't leave too much of an impact. His stats are average at best, a little under Null Julius overall, but his kit is only good. Not great. But good. He has a single target AA, which seals secrets on the enemy. Nothing too amazing there, especially on early stage global. His first ability is a nice heal, but the range is much too awkward to be super usable. Similar to Fana's, but Jien isn't my waifu. So that can't help him here either. His second ability also has much too weird a range to be super good, and it lowers wisdom. Wisdom? Really? Not to mention his 3rd ability is a mid tier single target attack. Hopefully Jien stays as a one-off character, cause honestly there are much better units.

Fana

Did someone say waifu? Cause I know I did. But pink-haired girl love aside, unfortunately Fana becomes irrelevant pretty quickly as more Buffer units are released to the global side of things. This is mostly due to her particularly abysmal stat spread. Her HP and DEF are pitiful, which automatically sends her down the Tiers on it's own. Her other stats are above average, but are not groundbreaking by any means. Especially as a buffer, meaning her ATK being high isn't really helpful. Same for a solely damaging ult. It's nice, but the dmg will always be mediocre at best. Her kit, thankfully, is actually quite nice. Maybe not her third ability, but a DEF and ATK, along with some pretty strong (albeit weirdly placed) continuous healing makes her a nice buffer for an undermanned team. But like I said, those stats really hold her back. Hopefully we'll get a V2 soon, but for now my girl Fana will be stuck in T2.

Mars

For the glory of the Diamond Kingdom. Mars was the unit on the 8 day free summon banner, and he was definitely a great choice for all the new players. His 2nd skill doing damage to all enemies is great, but it's randomly targeted, and his stats aren't meant for him to be a beat stick. His 1st skill, however, raises his defense, and jumping in front of the formation help protect your allies from danger not only that his 3rd skill gives him some self healing. He also has a damaging secret... kinda wish it did something other than damage.

Tier 4

Vetto

Well, if it isn't Zetsubo-kun. For a villain that had one of the coolest fights in the show, this unit is so LAME. Looking at his stat pool might fool you, since he manages to work in some good HP and SPD numbers, and at 750 he has one of the larger ATK stats in game at the moment. But as for what they were thinking with the rest of his design, I have no clue whatsoever. Where to begin with Vetto. His AA is okay when you consider he's built to be a beat stick, but his AOM makes him unusable as leader in the slightest. His Ability 1 is just a joke. "An attack to one enemy." That has to be a joke. His Ability 2 is no better, only raising his own defense. As if he'd ever be used in place of a tank with that horrid DEF stat. And his ability 3 does random damage to the enemy. Really? Everything he does, Mars can do better, aside from damage. And Mars is a tank. Such a cool character. What a let-down. The only thing I feel when I see him is, in fact, despair. So mission accomplished, Vetto.

Lotus

His character was blah, so it makes sense his 5 star would be too. His HP and WIS are commendable, and his AOM would be too, if you were ever to run him as your leader. Which you wouldn't. Other than that, his stats suck. His AA sucks, his 1st and 2nd ability suck. His 3rd ability is the only one that has use, but 6 starring Lotus is a total waste, much like this unit. Just use Jammer Finral instead. ;)

William

Captain of the strongest Magic Knights Squad? Bandai made sure this unit doesn't reflect that at all. SPD and WIS are all he has going for him, and his kit? Oh man, they made sure he was almost useless as a buffer. 2 attack skills and a damaging AA? Really? He was doomed from conception. His only buff is an AOE attack buff for the team, which sounds nice, but this spot would be better filled by any other buffer in the higher tiers. Or any unit for that matter. Let's hope they give him a new unit soon because man, does he ever need it. His formation is very nice though.

Rill

Ah, the Captain of the Aqua Deer. For such a fun character in the show, man is he absolutely mediocre all around. Then again, that's really what this tier is. The most mediocre units you can use. With not horrible stats, but none that are anything great, he definitely won't be on the team to do any damage. Half of his kit is done better by the Uncrowned, Undefeated Lioness herself. And the other half is just meh. The most viability you'll see out of him is his last ability, which heals an ally to full health. But he has to be 6 stars for that, something that is impossible to do on Global. So yeah, NEXT!

Noelle (Swimsuit)**

The royalty herself now prepared for the summer. As much as she wants to impress Asta with her looks, her power doesen't stand out at all.Her AB1 raises the speed of an ally and heals it.Her AB2 is a standard damage to one enemy and her AB3 lowers the hate of allies in range. Her arcane art raises the defense of all allies and provides abnormal status resistance. Her A.O.M prevents the participants from getting sealed. Her stats doesen't help her stand out either and her relic couldn't be worse.Overall she looks cute in the outfit but she is definely not good in battle.

Tier 5

Fuegoleon

Now this is a real shame. The valiant former captain of the Crimson Lion Kings ends up with the worst buffer unit in the game. But in all honesty, one look at his kit and it makes total sense why he'd end up here. Every stat beside his SPD and WIS are laughable, and while increasing the amount of red crystals dropped with his AB 1 is nice, that's where his usefulness ends. A poor excuse for an AOE ult, along with a mediocre AB 2 and 3 put him right next to Rades. Ironic, huh. At least he has a good formation.

Luck

For someone who's main motivation in life is to fight, Luck sure does die quickly when you put him on the battlefield. Shame. But it's not like his kit builds him to last either. Suffering from a lot of the same issues as Vetto, Luck is functionally a beat stick. And that's it. His kit definitely reflects that, but if not for his high ATK and decent SPD and HP, Luck would be sitting comofortably alongside Nero in Tier 6. A horrendous AA that only does single target damage, along with a single target ability, an attack with poor range and a self SPD buff, make Luck a really poor choice on most teams. Damage may be key later on in the meta, but Luck has already been left behind. Looks like those Lightning Boots weren't fast enough this time.

Tier 6

Rades

Oh, how the mighty fall. The hardest piece of content in the game, and this is the unit we get as a reward? With an abysmal stat pool, and a kit that does not fit his Defender class in the slightest (2 damaging skills and a bad debuff), Rades is a sorry excuse for a tank, with pretty much no redeeming factors. But hey, at least he looks cool, right? Seriously, just use Mars.

Tier 7

Nero

Unfortunately, clocking in at the bottom of the tier list is everybody's favorite Anti-Bird: Nero. It's hard to be too mad at a unit that was given out for free to the community, but at the same time, it would be completely deserved. A low overall stat pool, coupled with arguably the worst kit in the game send Nero straight to Tier 5. In a game that relies on your team having a diverse skill set, 3 abilities and an AA that only do mediocre damage aren't going to cut it in the long run, or even early on for that matter. Sorry Sec- I mean Nero. Better luck next time.

Rhya

Licht's best friend wasn't as blessed as him this time. Rhya is a Null typing Defend the Capital reward unit. His stats are extremely bad for a 5*, his abilities are worse versions of other units and his A.O.M and arcane art don't help him that much. Pretty bad unit for one of the coolest elves in the anime.
