Dan Asher has been busy performing and teaching in the New York area since 2001. His active schedule includes performances at legendary venues where he plays Rock, R&B, Jazz, and everything in between. He performs regularly with well-known artists. He tours from his home in the Bronx. His busy schedule causes him to wear out brake pads and nap at highway rest stops. “Well worth it,” he says!!
Andre Baruch is an instrumental music teacher at Patrick M. Villano Elementary school in Emerson, NJ. Before he started teaching, he performed and traveled the world for two years with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Azamara Cruise Lines. He has been playing saxophone with the New Jersey Wind Symphony since 2012. Additionally, he plays flute, clarinet, and saxophones in various pit orchestras for local high school and community theater productions.
Ken Corneille (keyboard, composer) is a cantor capable of composing, singing, and leading cantorial works from both Jewish and Christian liturgy. He is an active pipe organ recitalist. He is passionate about using his vast choral, keyboard, and composing skills to give voice to music and musicians. This has resulted in the creation of hundreds of compositions and ensemble and orchestral scores.
Annette Lieb has been a member of the flute section of the New Jersey Wind Symphony since 2004. She is also a founding member of the New Jersey Wind Symphony Flute Choir. She can be heard playing clarinet and alto saxophone in other musical groups in and around Bergen County.
Connecticut native Kristen Plumley sings in everything from opera’s light lyric roles to oratorio to pops classics. She has performed with many opera companies including the NYC Opera, Virginia Opera, Opera Festival of NJ, and Chautauqua Opera. On the concert stage, Kristen has performed classical pieces, show pieces, and symphonic renditions of pieces ranging from Mozart’s Coronation Mass to an Evening of Gilbert and Sullivan to Sci-Fi Spectacular hosted by George Takei of Star Trek fame.
Nadav Snir-Zelniker is an Israeli born drummer & percussionist. He has a BFA in jazz performance from the Conservatory of Music at SUNY Purchase. As a leader and co-leader he released three CDs – Thinking Out Loud (2010), Riding Alone (2011), and Breeza (2013). He is a familiar face on the New York music scene and is an active performer and recording artist. In addition, committed to Jewish Liturgical Music, he is the current percussionist of Congregation Kol Ami of White Plains, NY.
Juan Esteban Martinez joined the New Jersey Symphony as a principal clarinet for the 2023-2024 season. Prior to joining the New Jersey Symphony, Juan was the second clarinetist of the 2022-2023 season, and a member of The Orchestra Now. In 2022, he was the 1st prize winner of the Sphinx Orchestral Partners Auditions(SOPA) Excerpt Competition. Juan is a graduate of the Yale School of Music and the Peabody Conservatory of the John Hopkins University, where he studied with David Shifrin and Anthony McGill.
Oren Neiman is a Composer/Guitarist. His compositions explore a combination of Jazzwith Middle Eastern rhythms and melody.
Current projects: The Oren Neiman Trio - releasing their first album, Oren’s third as a leader, “Serenity Now” in July 2023; The play “Flawless” by Robin Goldfin with live music composed by Oren will be produced at Theater for the New City in November 2023; The band Sha’ar co-led by drummer David Freeman is releasing their first album titled “Gateway” in fall 2023. Oren was Guitar/Mandolin chair in National Yiddish Theater Folksbiene’s “Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish” directed by Joel Grey.
