I don't have the game files and my game is on a physical disc!

You'll have to dump the files from the disc. This can be done by using multiMAN on a jailbroken PS3. For more information on how to do this, check out this page.

I don't have the game files and my game is in a .iso file!

You can use a program like PS3 ISO TOOLS to extract the contents of the file. Try looking online for more tutorials. Note that you don't have to reassemble the .iso file, all you need is to extract the game folder.

My game files are sitting on my jailbroken PS3 and I don't know how to move them to my computer!

You can use move the files onto a USB stick in multiMAN (easier), or directly copy them over to your computer via FTP (faster if using a wired connection).

The batch script is giving an error when I run it!

Make sure all the files and folders have the correct names, and that everything is in the correct place. If the batch script throws an error, it usually prints an error message explaining what went wrong.

The batch script is stuck and isn't doing anything!

The batch scripts can take a while to patch the game files, especially if your computer or hard disk is slow. If the script has been stuck for a long time, you can try running the script in verbose mode.

• In File Explorer, navigate to the folder OFA_eng.

• Click on the address bar and enter cmd. A command prompt should appear.

• Type in patch_main_disc.bat /V (or the name of whichever batch file you're trying to run). This will run the script in verbose mode, which will display a lot more information about what the script is doing.

The game isn't booting up!

Check that the patched files are in the same place and have the same name as what the original file was.

The DLC costumes/accessories/songs aren't showing up ingame!

You also need the license files in order to use the DLC ingame. These have filenames of the form Ixxxxx0000000000.EDAT and should be in the folder dev_hdd0/game/BLJS10260/USRDIR. If you don't have these files as well, you won't be able to use the DLC.

Some of the text on the main menu is still in Japanese!

Check if you have the 1.07 game update installed - if you do, it will need to be English patched.

I'm on the disc version, and all of the ingame text is showing up as dots!

Make sure you have patched disc.arc and disc.bin.

Make sure you've patched the _patch.arc.edat and _patch.bin.edat files. Also make sure you've copied them over to the right folder.

Check if you have any game updates or DLC installed, and make sure they are all patched.

Also make sure you've downloaded the latest versions of the batch scripts.
