Patching the game files (Disc Version)

Note 1: this assumes you have already downloaded the patch files onto your computer and put them all into OFA_eng. If you haven't yet done so, go to this part of the tutorial.

Note 2: If you are using the emulator RPCS3 instead of a PS3, then look inside the folder where you installed RPCS3 whenever the guide tells you a folder on the PS3.

1. In the folder PS3_GAME/USRDIR in the game files, you should find the following 4 files:

1. 1. - hdd.arc
    - hdd.bin
    - disc.arc
    - disc.bin

If you have the 1.07 update for the game installed, you should also find the following 2 files in the folder dev_hdd0/game/BLJS10260/USRDIR on your PS3:

1. 1. - _patch.arc.edat
    - _patch.bin.edat

You can download the package for the 1.07 update for the game from the PlayStation servers using this link. Remember you have to install the package first to find the files.

2. Copy all these files to the folder OFA_eng/original on your computer.

3. Now run patch_main_disc.bat by double-clicking it. This should produce patched versions of the files in OFA_eng/patched.

4. Copy the hdd and disc files in OFA_eng/patched back over to PS3_GAME/USRDIR, replacing the original files.

If you have the game update, copy the _patch files back over to the folder dev_hdd0/game/BLJS10260/USRDIR on your PS3.

5. Move the whole game folder onto your PS3, e.g. into dev_hdd0/GAMES , if it isn't on your PS3 already.

6. If it exists, delete the folder dev_hdd0/game/BLJS10260DATA on your PS3. This will remove the original Japanese installed data, so that it gets replaced by the English patched data the next time you boot up the game.
