Hickey Method
"We are a bilingual home, but our child never learned how to read and write in English. It was amazing to see how he could read and also write his first words after only five lessons with Katrina. She observed him very carefully and started creating games that were tailor-made to his strengths and weaknesses. With much wisdom and heart she helped his language abilities leap forward. He loves going to his English lessons and today can read stories and signs." -- Leah
What is the Hickey Method?
Neuroscience tells us that children learn best when they can explore their world using all of their senses. That's why Hickey lessons use touch, movement, sound, and visual aids to reinforce learning. Whether your child needs to see information in picture form, trace letters and words, or engage in dramatic play, the Hickey Method will help them develop life-long reading skills. For the child who has learning difficulties, the Hickey Method’s phonics and practice system provides the support they need to become stronger, more confident readers.
