Imagine yourself in a class of 30+ students at your child's school.  Imagine several of these students are calling out to the teacher all at once.  Imagine your child's frustration when she or he cannot have the instructions repeated or ask a question.    How much individual attention can the teacher give your child?  Many children can become lost in the typical classroom experience.

In my private classes, I create a different atmosphere.  The classes are kept small so students receive more attention.  They are engaged in active learning using games, reading, writing, and art. This environment encourages student learning from both me and from each other.  

My class instruction includes classes in Beginning Reading for the child who needs to learn the alphabet and the basics and Advanced Phonics for those who know the alphabet but struggle with the sounds for vowel teams such ea, are, and igh.
