Autonomous vehicles, vehicle dynamics and control, maneuver decision and motion planning, optimal control, learning-based control, reinforcement learning, multi-physics simulation

Research Experience

1. Autonomous driving algorithm for automated and connected vehicles

Development of autonomous and connected vehicles, including full-sized buses
Vehicle longitudinal and lateral controllers, vehicle parameter estimation algorithm
Decision and motion planning algorithm for autonomous buses
Optimization and learning-based control algorithms including Model Predictive Control (MPC), learning-based MPC, and reinforcement learning

2. Multi-body dynamics and multi-physics simulation

Multi-body dynamics-based shipbuilding production and block installation simulation
Development of 6-DOF submarine dynamics simulation and control program
Hydraulic and pneumatic system simulation and proto-type design
